A single moment.

(Third p.o.v)

A single moment could change your life. Either for the best or the worst, but you never know in that moment until the events have unfolded before your eyes. And each moment was leading towards the worst future for Paris and the world.... And no one knew it yet.

(Y/n) went rushing out of the school building and down the street before Ruby broke through the front of the school and went chasing after her.
'Think, think, think!' She thoughts before she saw the cannel.
"Hood your breath, Bjorn." She quietly told him.
She quickly turned left and before Ruby could grab her, she dived into the water. Getting out of reach from Ruby. She swam for as long as she could before going to the surface to get air, pulling herself up onto the dock area before rolling onto her back to get air.
"Hiya kid." Micheal spoke as he stood over her with a smile.
"Akuma is after me."
"Yeah I know all about that. It's in that friendship necklace you gave her when you kids were 10."
"How do you know that?"
"You told me of course." He told confusing her.
"You're being weird Micheal."
"You need to fight her."
"I figured I'd need to fight Ruby."
"Not her."
"Who then?"
"Can't say."
"Micheal." She told in a warning tone.
"Olethros." He told confusing her.
"The one who destroyed things?"
"Yes. She's coming.... And she's coming soon." He told before disappearing as she blinked and she was joined by the others.
"Ready for a fight?" Ladybug asked.
"Damn straight." She told before being pulled up to her feet.

The five of them went rushing through the streets, following the destruction that Ruby was leaving as she was looking for (y/n).
"It's in her necklace!"
"How do you know?!" The four asked.
"Micheal told me! Apparently I told him about it, I don't know man!" She told, keeping the rest that he said to himself.
As soon as they saw her, Esprit used her rope arrows to try and restrain her as the others worked to get her necklace. Ruby was able to break free of the rope, going to smash Rena Rouge into the ground, making Carapace push her out of the way to take the fall. But when he didn't feel his body get embedded into the ground, he looked to see Espirit using her spirit hands to hold her fist.
"Must find (Y/n)!" Ruby screamed out, only for Espirit to keep her grip on their fists as they pushed against one another.
"No you won't!" Espirit shouted.
"I will! For pay back for what she did!"
"You cause her pain first! You have no right to act this way! It's your fault you're not friends anymore!" Espirit shouted, as her shadow started to climb up her legs.
"You know nothing! You weren't there! You don't understand!" She screamed out.
"Acting like this is doing nothing! You're still pushing her away!"
"Shut up!"
"She loved you and your brother! She cried in your arms every lunchtime as her mother died! You both held her hands at her mother's funeral!"
"Shut up! Shut up! Shut up! Shut lip shut up shut up!" She kept screaming, not wanting to hear the truth as more of Espirits shadow grew up her body, like tendrils to a virus infecting one's veins.
"You were her family! And you broke her by blaming her for your actions! That's why she didn't tell either of you she was leaving! That's why she has wanted nothing to do with you both! You two were the last of her happiness back home, and you destroyed it!"
"I didn't mean to!" She admitted as tears rolled down her face. "I never wanted to hurt her.... I just wanted my best friend back....."
"Doing this isn't helping! It's pushing her further away!"
"We came here for her! We saw on the news about that Adrien guy getting a new girlfriend and so we convinced our parents to come here so we could fix things..... we missed her! We still miss her!"
"Tell her that! Don't bottle it all away!"
"I'm sorry!" She screamed out, letting Espirit grab her necklace and threw it towards Chat, who destroyed it.
Unbeknownst to everyone as they went to pull Ruby to her feet and take her back, Espirits shadow seemed to seep into her like it was joining back up to its creator.

When school ended for that day, (Y/n) just wanted to go home and nap. Maybe cuddle Adrien and (p/n) as she did so which felt like a nice thought. Though that was taken away when she heard Ruby speak, making her turn to see her rushing over to talk to her.
"(Y/n)...." Ruby began before she hugged her.
"You really need to stop being an idiot." She told making her break down in tears again.
"I'm sorry... I'm so so sorry." She cried out as she clutched onto her childhood friend.
"I forgive you. It's gonna take some time for me to completely be ok with you again, but I forgive you."
"That's fine. You don't even have to wear the locket." She told making (Y/n) pull away.
"I still have it."
"You don't wear it."
"Cause the chain broke." She told before showing her keys and showed the locket part there. "So my dad helped me turn it into a keychain."
"Smart." She told as the two smiled at one another, showing the start of them rebuilding the relationship they once had.

However, in a pitch black room the sound of chains could be heard. A figure stood, chained to the ground by each of their limbs. A figure so powerful, that they had to be trapped in the abyss for all eternity.... That was till they heard a crack form in the metal wrapped around their neck, a wicked grin that was almost sickening to view if it didn't make you cower in fear.
"Perfect." They told before laughing out as their plan was starting to come together.

(Y/n) sat up in bed in a rush, sensing something was off, that everything in the world was wrong.... She just didn't know what. And it scared her.

The choices that she had made that day, took them all one step closer to the destruction of the world that they all knew.
