Shadows crept down the hallway towards the empty lab in the dark, inside a single scientist sat working away blissfully unaware of the danger that lurked behind him.

Dr. Nolan Lummings had worked at the sword facility for years, overseeing many experiments and projects as head of the research department.

He'd decided to stay late at the lab, studying an armory of Asgardian weaponry that they'd managed to get their hands on, an electric crackle sounded behind him but he didn't hear through his headphones as he kept his focus on the work in front of him.

Then he saw a blue light reflect on the window ahead and span around in his chair to be met with nothing.

Lummings narrowed his eyes in confusion then turned back around, only to be pulled up and slammed onto the desk.

"Where's Hayward?" a girl asked, with menacing static energy behind her words.

Lummings fell flustered as he struggled against her electric hold, she let out a sigh and then slammed him down harder onto the table as he winced out in pain.

"I don't know!!" the doctor screeched but the brunette girl pulled an impatient face, she then pulled one of her arms away from his shoulder and trickled her fingers down his chest as a blue spark danced beneath it.

"Do you know how many nerves are in the human body?.... over 7 trillion.... 7 trillion little nerves sparking from your brain" she pulled her hand up and flicked him on the forehead before traveling it down his chest, "to your spinal cord, then all throughout your body... they think of nerves as a sort of electrical wiring.... little sparks of energy that send messages throughout your nervous system... right now I can feel yours... all 7 trillion of them.... pulsing hard as your heartbeat rises."

The girl let her hand linger over his heart and her eyes turned an icy blue, "do you know how easy it would be for me to just..... make those nerves jolt... send a part of your body into writhing agony with nothing more than a flick of my wrist.. or even pull the electricity from the nerves so that your whole body starts to slowly shut down.... it could paralyze you.. and you'd still feel every single nerve twisting painfully... or if you're lucky it could kill you" she smirked and the doctor started to pull away from her desperately.

But after a sarcastic eye roll, she placed her hand back on his shoulder and held his body down again, "I don't want to kill you, I just want you to tell me where Hayward is" she smiled grimly.

The doctor gulped then let out a shaky breath "so you can kill him?" but the girl let out a loud groan, "no, so I can talk to him..... I have a feeling he may know the whereabouts of someone I've been looking for... it was his fault she left in the first place so... he has to make it right."

"You're looking for Wanda Maximoff?" Lummings asked with a knowing look and the girl raised her eyebrow at him suspiciously, "I know who you are, Alyson Parker. I know your past with Hayward and why you'd think he'd know where Maximoff may be but I can assure you.. he doesn't.. none of us know... she doesn't want to be found."

Alyson grabbed the man by the collar and threw him over the table, "you don't know anything" she spat and the man threw his hands up in surrender as she stepped towards him angrily.
