Electric Heart (Pietro Maximoff)

Chapter 4: Age of Ultron -2

Pietro held Wanda outside whilst she grunted in pain clutching her head. Clint had stuck an electric arrow to her head in response to her attempt to get into his brain.

"What can I do?" Pietro asked, she didn't answer instead Wanda let out a shaky breath before finally getting out the words"it hurts."

"I'm going to kill him, I'll be right back" he muttered angrily but she stuck her hand out "no no no, I'm alright" she exhaled.

After a minute the pain started to subside and she looked up at him suspiciously "why did you stop me from going into Alyson's head."

Pietro's expression dropped and he stuttered for a second "she was our friend, Wanda."

Wanda looked past him, at the quintet Bruce Banner was situated in "yeah, well now she's with them, let's finish the plan, I want the big one" her eyes shone a bright red as she looked over at Bruce.

Tony flew after the hulk calling through the intercom to his team, "Natasha I could really use a lullaby" he sighed, but Clint called back to him "yeah, well that's not gonna happen, the whole team is down."

Alyson pulled Steve up trying to get him to stand, she grunted as he remained still and looked over to Clint with an exasperated expression. Clint pulled Natasha over his shoulder as he carried on speaking to Tony "you got no backup here" he sighed.

"I'm calling in Veronica."

"The news is loving you guys, nobody else is" Maria Hill's voice came over the ship's speaker as Clint steered the aircraft. The team were exhausted and had nowhere to go, they felt hopeless.

Aly was dozing off in a chair next to Nat who pulled a blanket over the girl.

"There's been no official call for Banners arrest, but it's in the air" Maria continued, Tony spoke back to her as the team remained silent.

A few hours later Aly was shaken awake by Nat, "come on we're here" she smiled sadly. Alyson yawned and stood up pulling the blanket around herself as she followed the team into a sort of farmhouse.

"What is this place?" Thor asked as they walked towards the front door, "a safe house?" Tony added, Clint turned to face them with a smile and then opened the door "let's hope."

"Honey I'm home" Clint called out into the large house, a pregnant woman suddenly appeared from around the corner and smiled brightly at him.

"Company.. sorry didn't call ahead," he said, she kissed him and brought him in for what seemed like a long-overdue hug.

"This is an agent of some kind" Tony muttered to Thor and Alyson patted Tony on the back "sure looks like it" she smirked.

"Guys, this is Laura," Clint said and Laura gave everyone a little smile.

"I know mostly all of your names," she said before lingering on Aly, who stuck her hand up sheepishly "Alyson" she smiled.

"Now I know all your names" Laura chuckled.

The next morning Aly sat on one of the kitchen chairs, sending a quick text to May to tell her that she'd most likely miss their family meal tonight before turning her phone off with a sigh.

"Aly, can I talk to you for a second?" Steve asked leaning in the doorway, everyone else carried on eating whilst Alyson followed Steve outside.

"Hmm?" she asked nervously, already guessing what this was going to be about.
