Chapter 17: No Way Home -3

"Tragedy... what else can I call it?..... what more need be said?... the damage... the destruction... you saw it with your own eyes..." J. Jonah Jameson's voice came through a giant screen in front of Alyson and Peter as rain poured around the broken pair.

"Don't listen..." Aly breathed but Peter remained silent as he stared at the screen.

"When will people wake up and realize that everywhere Spider-man goes... chaos and calamity ensue... everything Spider-man touches comes to ruin.."

Aly's eyes lit with an electric fury and she thrust her palm forward and struck the screen... electricity crashed from it as it crackled and burned before becoming motionless, she ran at it and punched with charcoaled blue lines forming all over at every connection.

Peter ran forward and wrapped his arms around his sister's torso as she sobbed, she continued punching the screen but he pulled her away from it.

She let out a loud screech before collapsing in his arms and he just held her on the floor silently as they both cried.

"I'm sorry... I'm so sorry....this is all my fault... I'm so sorry" he whimpered as he wrapped his arms around her on the ground but she shook her head violently as she calmed her breathing enough to get words out, she was angry... so so angry.. but not at Peter and he needed her right now, so she pushed that anger down and buried it deep inside.

"No... it's not... it's not your fault.... shhhhh.... shhhh... it's not your fault.. don't do that to yourself" she whispered as he cried into her shoulder, she spun around to face him on the ground and pulled him into a tight hug.

"Everyone's gone... mom.. dad... uncle Ben... Mr. Stark... now May... they're all gone" he sobbed and Alyson's heart jolted as she thought of a few more names to add to that list.

But then she pushed away and forced Peter to look at her through teary eyes, she grabbed onto his shoulders sternly as she spoke.

"Not everyone, you've still got me..... I'm not going anywhere.... we stick together okay? we watch out for each other like May said... no matter what... I've got you, we'll figure this out together.... you've still got me" she breathed out as the rain poured around them, Peter nodded at her through teary eyes before burying his face into her shoulder.

People had started to spot the pair and yell at them in the street until Peter swung them both to a secluded place; the roof of his high school.

They sat on the floor side by side in complete silence as they looked down at the city and the bright lights illuminated their devastated faces in the dark.

Suddenly there was shufflingly from beside them and the pair looked over to see Ned and Mj rushing to them, Mj grabbed Peter's face softly and pulled him into herself whilst Ned walked over and wrapped his arms around Alyson comfortingly.

The four of them started to meld together as Peter let out a sob and Mj kissed the side of his head as she pulled him closer.

Aly leaned her head on her brother whilst Ned moved his arm's around both of the Parker's shoulders.

Mj's voice cut through the sound of sobs as she let out a breath "guys there's... there's some people here" she said as she slowly started to pull her boyfriend up to the ground.

"What?" Aly asked breathlessly as Ned helped her to her feet, holding her steady as if he was afraid she might fall.

They looked up to see two guys looking down at them clinging to the side of the bell tower, Peter took a defensive stance whilst Alyson softly pulled away from Ned and let her fingers alight with electricity.
