Tony had been able to instantly track Vision down and sent Aly on her way on a private jet, a little excessive but it wasn't like she could just go to the airport.
The jet landed and Aly hopped out, waving goodbye to Happy who had gotten out a sleeping mask, and a white noise machine before putting his feet up on the control panel.
The plan was for Aly to find Wanda and Vision and then spend a couple of hours with them before she returned; she didn't want to leave Peter for too long with everything that was happening.
They'd tracked Vision all the way to Edinburgh and as Alyson walked through the cobblestone streets she couldn't help but think how happy Pietro would have been to travel here, they'd talked about it before; heading out of the US and seeing the rest of the world but they'd never got the chance. She pushed that thought away and tread forward, peeking down at the expensive watch on her wrist that Tony had given her so that she could track Vision's coordinates.
It led her to an old hotel on the outskirts of the town, she jumped out of her cab and took off her disguise. Alyson was nervous, she stood in front of the door hesitatingly; she knew what she was about to do was going to cause Wanda a lot of pain but she also couldn't hide it from her, Aly held her breath then knocked on the door.
"Alyson?" Wanda gasped softly as she opened it.
No words left Aly's mouth as she looked at her friend, instead, she just collapsed into her arms bringing her in for a tight hug as a whimper left her throat.
Wanda's voice wavered in her ear "where's Pietro?" she asked and Aly could feel her heart shatter at the words.
Wanda had pulled Alyson inside and asked her to tell her everything. Alyson's voice came out shaky as if the words had hurt as they left her throat.
"Pietro... he's... Pietro's gone.. he's.. he's dead."
Upon hearing the words Wanda fell to her knees in agony, Alyson knelt beside her slowly and just held her friend whilst Vision suddenly ran into the room at the commotion, as soon as he realized what was happening he leaned back onto the wall and looked at the pair solemnly.
As she finished telling them the whole story of what had happened, with SWORD, Hayward, and the experiments, Alyson was a mess; her words spiraled in agony and tears. The brunette was physically shaking so much that Vision had wrapped a blanket around her in an effort to comfort her.
A thick silence grew in the air for a moment as Wanda looked off to the side with a heartbroken expression before standing up and leaving the room for air.
Alyson stood to go after her but Vision suddenly placed a hand on her shoulder to hold her back "I think she needs a minute" he said and Aly nodded.
Vision sat down in front of Alyson and studied her face "you blame yourself?" he asked and Alyson's head fell into her palms silently giving him an answer.
Vision shook his head "and you're afraid that she does too" he said more to himself before taking a seat next to Aly.
"It wasn't your fault, you had no control over the events that occurred. Why do you hold yourself accountable?" he asked curiously, Alyson turned to face him and frowned searching for the words that were muddled up inside her head.
"If it weren't for me then he wouldn't have given himself up" she sighed but Vision shook his head "he did it to protect you, this isn't your fault Alyson. It was Pietro's choice and blaming yourself is just going against his wishes he wouldn't want you to feel that sorrow" Vision tried but Aly just stayed silent.
"And Wanda doesn't blame you, she just needs a little time.. she loves you and I know that she's happy you are here and that you're safe... she knows it's not your fault but now you just need to understand that yourself."
