Chapter 6: Party Crashers

"If we just slip in through the back doors by the kitchen then they won't even notice us" Pietro whispered as he looked over the balcony into the communal area.

Alyson and Wanda were at either side of him crouched down on the floor out of view.

"Are you kidding? after last time Tony's going to have eyes everywhere, we need a distraction" Alyson replied pulling her boyfriend back down behind the safety of the wall.

The Avengers were throwing a party, in celebration of their 3rd anniversary as a team, however, Alyson, Wanda, and Pietro were banned from it, partly because they were still only teenagers but mostly because the last time the avengers had a little get-together like this the three of them had ended up on a bunch of news articles.

'What the youngest avengers get up to behind the team's back.'

'The teenagers that save the world, but still find time to act out.'

And Aly's favourite headline 'three mini Starks run riot around New York city.'

So Tony flipped out on them, telling them how irresponsible they were and how they were creating bad press for the Avengers, to which Aly had shot back with "what? and you make good press? Seriously Tony?" which resulted in them being banned from the function tonight, but Alyson had snuck into the compound via Wanda's bedroom window and dragged the twins downstairs.

"I could cause a distraction" Wanda smirked lighting up her palms with red but the other two just gave her a dull look.

"Your distraction is a bit too on the nose, we need something that's going to spark a little excitement into the room, something that could be a natural occurrence like a fault with the electric system" Pietro grinned as the twins both turned to smile evilly at Alyson.

She rolled her eyes and then sat up leaning over the small balcony with a thin piece of glass between her and the communal area.

Then she let a little electric spark dance on her fingertips before pointing it up to the ceiling, the lights around the room started to flicker as all heads turned up toward it.

"Okay let's go" Wanda whispered pulling Pietro's arm, Aly kept her gaze on the lights as Pietro watched the crowd and pulled Wanda back "wait not yet."

They started to look up towards the lights as they suddenly flickered off leaving the building in darkness and sudden silence.

Pietro winced quietly "you were supposed to create a little fault not black out the building entirely Aly" he groaned, and she turned to face him with a frown "do you know how much electricity flows through this place, I had to channel a lot to just make the lights flicker" she shot back but Pietro just raised his eyebrow "well you did more than just make them flicker" he replied sarcastically.

"I can see that!" she shot back, Wanda pulled the two out of their conversation as she pointed toward the crowd.

"Tony's gone," she said in a worried tone, pointing to the floor beneath them.
