Tate slammed his fists into the steering wheel. He couldn't leave Lacey alone the whole night. Though she had assured him multiple times; he knew she was only bluffing. Cursing, he made a sharp turn to the right and began drive back towards the house where she was staying. He could only blame himself if anything was to happen to Lacey.

He knocked once more, and if she didn't answer Tate decided that he would break the door down. He had given her a key and the only spare key was at his home. This time the door slowly cracked open and Tate felt foolish that he didn't realize that she had no idea who he could be. Her bright blue eyes light up in relief as she recognized him. He gave her a reassuring smile and she quickly let him enter.

"I'm sorry. I should have somehow warned you that it was only me."

He quickly apologized, noticing that all the lights in the house was shut off besides in the kitchen. Lacey shook her head dismissing him.

"It's fine...why are you here? Did you forget something?"

Tate sighed and loosed his tie. He wanted to do that the whole day.

"No.. I hade time to think about it. I'm going I stay here with you for the night..if that's okay with you."

Lacey tilted her head, before crossing her arms over her chest.

"You don't have too." She seemed confident but Tate could see the relief in her eyes.

"I know, but it's no trouble..and in the morning I can help you unpack all your things. "

Lacey sighed and dropped her arms to her side as if she was defeated.

"Thanks." She mumbled. There was a pause before Lacey started moving down the hall where her room was. Half way there she turned back and hesitantly gave him a smile.

"Good night."

She murmured. Tate tugged on his tie until it came unloose. Smiling he gave her a quick salute.

"Good night."
