Lacey yawned into her hand and she crumpled up the piece of paper for the fifth time and flung it across the room. She couldn't trust him, right? She wanted to, but it wouldn't be practical. She glanced at the clock, 10:28. Her nerves fluttered in her stomach. In two minuets he would standing in her back porch, waiting. Expecting her. What would he do when he finds out that she didn't met him? Lacey groaned and flipped sides in her bed. But what if he there to help? Maybe she should trust him; she had nothing else to loose. Her eyes glanced at the clock again, and her stomach did a flip. Swallowing she quickly scrambled out of the bed flinging back the sheets.

Gulping back her fear, nervousness and a slight tingle of hope she put her sweat shirt on and quietly opened the back door. She had made very little noise in fear that Tate would wake up. He couldn't know what she was about to do. Hesitantly she stepped into the darkness of the night. Surprisingly the air was warm. Lacey squinted her eyes to see through the dark. Her heart skipped an beat as she spotted the figure of a tall, broad shoulder man with an long black coat that went to his ankles. Still not sure that it was really him, she inched closer. The man must have notice her because he moved in closer.

"Lacey..you came." The man sighed. The familiarity in his voice made Lacey throat feel like it was closing up. Her palms got sweaty and her heart started to race. There was no question about it; he was Ryan Hamilton.

Slowly Lacey stepped forward and held her hands tightly together so they would stop shaking.

"Apparently so."

Her voice came out more shaky than she had intended. Ryan took a final step forward and Lacey's breath caught in her throat. Her mixed emotions overwhelmed her. She wanted to cry and at the same time yell angrily. But she forgot all of her thoughts as she caught sight of the familiar deep blue eyes. Long a time ago, she had fallen in love with those same unique yet beautiful eyes. And she hated that she wished she could see him in the daytime. Was he still handsome enough to take away her breath? It was a long time ago, Lacey reminded herself. She could tell Ryan was analyzing her. He was probably deciding if she still looked the same, or if her brown hair was the same shade. She folded her arms across her chest suddenly feeling self conscious Finally what seemed like forever, he spoke.

"It's been...so..long."

His whispered. His blue eyes were so sincere that it nearly broke Lacey's heart. Now, she wanted to cry. It's been too long, she knew that. And sometimes she had wished she didn't leave...him.

"I know..I'm sorry.."

She murmured. Swallowing hard she tucked a stray piece of hair behind her ear. Ryan tilted his head for a moment before clearing his throat. Then his crystal blue eyes light up in excitement.

"I can help you. .Lacey..I have a plan."

That was all she needed to hear from him. A thousands pounds was lifted on her heart and she even let out a shaky smile.

"How?"

Ryan's lips curled with confidence.

"Tomorrow, meet me here. At 10: 30, the same time as tonight."

Lacy shook her head. She wanted to know now. She needed to.

"Tell me now." She pleaded. Ryan sighed but shook his head.

"No, I don't have much time..I got to go...meet me here tomorrow.." He told her and slowly he turned around. Lacey crinkle her eyes and she boldly tugged on his arm, stopping him from walking away.

"Please..I won't be able to sleep if I don't know." She told him honestly. How could she when he had a plan? A plan that could set her free from..everything! Ryan turned around facing her again for a brief moment.

"Promise..me..you'll met me here..10:30 pm."

Lacey huffed and tugged harder.

"Why do you have to leave in such a hurry?"

"Just promise."

"Where do you have to go?"

"Lacey..promise me."

He easily released himself from her grip and started walking backwards still facing her.

"Ryan..."

"Promise me."

Lacey sighed defeated. She would just have to wait.

"Fine..I promise."

A boyish grin appeared on his face.

"Oh, and Ryan.. How did you find me?"

He paused, but then shrugged his shoulders.

"I always do, don't I?"

Lacey thought for a moment. He always did have a way of being there for her, even when they were children.

Before his body slowly started to fade into the darkness, he stopped once again.

"Lacey,"

He called out.

"Yeah?"

There was a pause.

"If you can't go to sleep...just think of me."
