Lacey couldn't help but feel that she had wasted her whole day. After last night when she had told everything to Tate, she couldn't get an certain gnawing, taunting feeling out of her stomach. When she had woken up, Tate had already left. She had tried to explore a bit around the small house but there was nothing more interesting than a few classic novels. Didn't Tate say the he would help her unpack her belongings? Did he go to his job? Was it even safe for her to go outside? Where was he now? Frustrated she shook her head of the irritating thoughts. It didn't matter now. The day slipped beneath her fingertips; it was 10:30 pm. It was the moment she had been anxiously waiting for, nervously prancing back and forth for. Clutching her long, black jacket around her waist she gently slid the glass door open that led to the darkness of the night. Almost suddenly a deep voice sighed in a relief

making Lacey recognized the tall, body in front of her. She couldn't help but feel...satisfied.

"You came..again."

She said hesitant to smile. Ryan tilted his head closer towards her just to catch a better glimpse of the women he had once fallen in love with.

"Of course I came. Now..we don't have much time.."

His voiced changed from friendly to argent. A swirl of deja via settled in the pit of Lacey's stomach. She knew the feeling too well.

"Where are you taking me?"

Ryan scoffed mockingly.

"Do you really not trust me? After all we been through?..come on."

He held out his hand hoping she would be gullible. But this time, she wasn't.

"Really, Ryan. I don't know if I'm really safe..anywhere."

She wanted him to know that it wasn't personal.

He looked down at her questioningly. And as if he read her mind, he gave her a reassuring smile. After a moment he spoke.

"It's okay..I understand. But you can trust me. I was foolish back then, I should have taken you more serious ally. What you said about my friend..I should have listened..I'm sorry."

Lacey took a deep breath then swiftly glanced back before grasping her hand with his. She had to trust him or at least make her self believe she did. Whenever he was going to take her; it will benefit her.

An hour later Lacey cuddled up to an warm, soft, fluffy white blanket on Ryan's couch. She still couldn't believe she had let him take her to his home. Little had she known that he had just purchased the house a month ago. She hadn't known Ryan lived in this area. Her guard was down and for once it felt nice to relax without the constant pressure. And this was the first time she saw Ryan full features in over a year. He looked some what different, but Lacey didn't know why. His deep blue eyes still held the same twinkle and his handsome chiseled face made her stomach flip like it had used to. Maybe it was his hair. His bouncy blonde locks were cut into a more mature look. Now it was short and spiked. Lacey tilted her head, realizing that he hasn't changed at all; it was only his hair. Ryan grinned, breaking her from her thoughts.

"You haven't changed one bit...actually your more beautiful than I ever imagined."

He murmured.

"Did you get your hair dyed..or maybe its your eyes..but you look stunning."

A small blush rose onto her cheeks before she mentally smacked her forehead. No, she couldn't get caught in his trap again. She couldn't be like clay in his hands.

"Thanks.. But I didn't come here so you could give me complaints. I came here because I need your help."

She corrected him lightly with a smile.

He sighed and nodded his head.

"Your right. But first who's house are you staying at?"

Lacey wrapped the blanket closer to her body as Ryan scooted closer towards her.

"Does it really matter?"

Ryan rolled his eyes.

"No, I guess not."
