I don't know if it's just me when I read, but I think of each sequence or part has a music score to go along with it, as if you're watching a film or whatever. This series has a few scenes I just couldn't help but imagine music that fitted them perfectly.
Chapter 1: From Branchlines to the Big City
The music over the Skull heart monologue would be just like the games. This tune would actually play when we cut to Thomas.
Chapter 3: Thomas & The Lab
This would start during Big Band's rescue of Thomas.
Chapter 4: Thomas' Trials
Plays during Peacock's and Thomas' race.
Chapter 5: Toby
Toby's theme is played during his scenes.
Chapter 8: In the public eye
Thomas' train plays during his first run. And Danger plays during Toby and Filia's Painwheel encounter.
Chapter 10: Rivalry
Plays during Gordon's famous record breaking express run.
Chapter 14: Reconstruction
This would play during Thomas, Gordon, and Toby's efforts during the first day of reconstruction. And honestly you can throw this into any scene with Thomas on the Maplecrest branchline, fits well enough.
And that's it for now. Other themes and classic tunes will show up. But for now this is just a funny thought I thought I would share. Thanks for 600 reads so far, and really looking forward to see what comes next.
