The rest of the day was spent getting Thomas and Toby ready for their jobs in Canopy. Toby's job was still up in the air, but Thomas was getting prepared for his post train. His crew where given a map with all the stations they had to stop at. Thomas had the Canopy Railroad logo painted onto his bunker.

"Canopy Railroad? Is it necessary to have that painted on me?" asked Thomas. He didn't like the logo was covering up his blue paint.

"Yes, it's to show you belong to Canopy. This way the stations can tell to give their freight to you and not the Medici Railroad." said one of the workers.

"Medici Railroads?"

"They're our competitors. The Medici's have been suspected of being connected to countless criminal activities, but no one can ever get solid proof that they're the ones doing it." he said. Thomas thought back to what Big Band had told him.

'Our boys were getting closer to having something to put the mafia group here away for a long time...'

...

While he never told Thomas nor his crew the name of the mafia group from his story, this sounded like them.

"Any who." The worker said. "There you go Thomas, you are officially a part of Canopy Railroad." he said proudly.

"I must say, you Canopy folks don't do things by halves." complimented Thomas. His crew walked over to see it for themselves.

"Not bad." The driver said.

"Indeed." Added the fireman.

"Hey British boys, stop gawking at the logo and get ready, the post train is due to leave soon." A gruff worker said. The crew realized it was about 8 o'clock and wasted no time to get Thomas moving.

"Peep-Peep! Wish me luck." Thomas said on his way out.

"Oh I'm sure you'll do splendidly." Toby rang.

Thomas puffed out of the shed and into the yard. Canopy's yards seemed to be much bigger than the ones back on Sodor, they had a lot of coaches, trucks, fueling stations to keep their engine running, and lamp posts to light up the yard for them. A few small 0-4-0 tank engines were busy shunting trucks into sidings, or even coaches for a night passenger train. One of these engines already got Thomas his mail vans, they were waiting for him on platform 4. He went in front and got switch to the proper line. He gently backed down to the vans and waited to be coupled up. He looked over at the engine on platform 1. It was an express engine, it had 6 big wheels, cowcatchers and an odd looking funnel. While not a one to one look alike, it reminded him very much of Gordon. They would have a small chat during their night runs, while Gordon was a bit pompous and rude, they had still remained allies ever since Thomas fell down that mine. He sighed to himself, just then the guard's whistle blew. Thomas blew his whistle and sent off with the post train.
