I spent the next month like a zombie. I got up, went to school and came straight home. On the weekend I stayed I'm bed until my mom made me get up. Then I would sit outside and listen to music. Some how Janey and Kyle tried to get me to come out but after a few weeks they gave up. It wasn't that I didn't want to go out with them, I just wasn't up to it. One Sunday I think my mom finally got the clue this was going to be a repetitive thing.
"Sweet heart can I talk to you for a minute." She said. I pulled out my headphones and looked at her.
"Yeah. What is it?"
" I think that it's time I send you back to Oregon. You aren't happy and I see that now. I called your aunt and uncle and they were more than happy to take you. Start packing you're going home." She got up and left. I didn't know how to feel I had a whole mix of emotions! Happy, sad, scared, excited. Legit anything you can think of and it's opposite. I went to my room and my mom brought me up boxes. I got a black sharpie and labeled them. "Only pack the things your don't really need so pack pictures, but not your laptop." My mom said.
"Mom when am I leaving?" I asked as I was doing what she told me.
"Sunday. I figured that you'd want to say goodbye to some people." She said labeling more boxes. The phone started to ring and my mom went to get it. I went over to my bed and got on my laptop. I video chatted my friend Amelia to tell her the news. When she picked up she had a big smile on her face. I haven't talked to her in a while.
"Hey ya lil bitch! I miss you!" Amelia had the mouth of a sailor. She cursed non stop.
"My lil shitter! Guess what?" I said.
"What?!" She asked.
"I'm coming home. Like for good." I said with a smile.
"WHAT?! Savannah don't fuck with me!" She said.
"I'm dead serious!" I said.
"Wait, but what about your boyfriend?" Amelia asked calming down for a second.
"I have to pack I'll call you later!" I completely ignored her question.
"Wait Sav. What about Jack?"
"I don't wanna talk about it." I said.
"When you get here I'm making you." She said.
"Okay I have to go so I'll talk to you later. Bye."
"Bye babe." We hung up and I was starting to feel nervous about leaving here. Not second thoughts or anything. I guess I was just nervous to see all my friends and Joey and stuff. It'll pass. I sat at my desk even though I don't talk to Jack anymore he had a right to know I was leaving. He was the most important person to me that was here. Even though he's perfectly fine now and moved on but what ever.
My dearest Jack,
You have to trust me when I say leaving you was the hardest thing I ever had to do. I know it seems like I don't have any reasons or logic for leaving you, but I promise I do. Just not any that you will ever understand. Please don't hate me and please never forget the good times we shared and don't try to recreate them with other girls. We might not be together, but I will really always love you. That I can promise. I love you.
Yours always
Savannah
I cried the whole time while writing the letter. It wasn't the fact I was leaving here I was upset. It was the fact that I was leaving Jack. I heard the door bell ring. My mom got it. I heard some mumbles and then the door closed.
"Savannah come down here please." I ran down the stairs and walked into the kitchen.
"Yeah?" I asked when I saw rose and a piece of paper attached. A boy dropped this off and said not to say who it was. My mom made a face at me and picked up her cook book. I brought it all up to my room. I put the rose into some water then plopped down on my bed to read the note.
