Chapter 16

When everyone in Oregon found out I was coming home, they were very excited. Especially Joey. What a surprise that was. I was happy to go back too. I figured that if Joey was to start hitting on me, I would take it slow with him and maybe go in to a relationship with him.

"Okay baby, you need to call me everyday until I can get out there." My mom said as she packed my stuff.

"Yes mom."

"And you need to be polite to you aunt and uncle!"

"As always mom."

"And..."

"MOM! I will be okay." I laughed and comforted her.

"Savannah you're my baby and I am shipping you off across the country!" A tear slid from her eye. I hugged her.

"I will be in contact with you everyday! I will have Justin teach you how to video chat!" I said. My phone started to ring. Noah's name came up on the caller I.D.. I looked to my mom and she automatically knew to leave. When she shut the door I answered.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hey." He sounded really upset.

"You okay?" I asked.

"I guess." He said.

"Don't sound it." I said.

"How would you feel if your friend was moving across the country?" He asked.

"Noah I..." He cut me off.

"I'm not the reason I called it's about Jack."

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"He called me like an hour ago and asked about the letter. He asked if I was just fucking with him or if you actually wrote the letter."

"What did you say!?" I asked. I was trying to hide my excitement. I don't think it worked.

"I said that it was the God's honest truth." I let out a breath and dropped my phone.

"He cares." I said to myself. I heard Noah saying my name through the phone.

"Sorry." I said picking up the phone.

"It's fine. He then told me that it was what ever because he is with Ava now and she is all that matters to him at this point in time. You and him weren't meant to be." He added.

"Oh." I replied.

"Sav?" He said. I delayed my responds but eventually answered.

"Yes?" I said. I felt so stupid. Thinking that I could hold on to someone like Jack, to think that he would ever still care about me. It's been about a month, I have to learn that he is too good for me.

"You matter to me." He sad trying to make me feel better. He was too cute.

"Thanks babe." I replied.

"What time do you leave? He asked me.

"Three."

"I'll be there at one I can't not see you before you leave." He said.

"Yeah I think you are the only one." I said. I faked a laugh. Noah didn't think my joke was too funny.

"I will see you then." He said.

"Okay. See you then No." We both hung up. I laid in my bed just thinking about my stupidity and idiocy. Noah, Kyle, Janey and Zack all arrived at about one. I was really surprised to see Kyle, Janey and Zack. Janey and Zack didn't want to talk to me Kyle was comforting Janey about the whole thing. It has been a crazy time lately. I was happy that now we would be on good terms before I left.
