Emilio's Jr Ortega Pov
"I still want to work at the coffee shop. Thank you for the offer though but I can still go to college and work as part time there. Something about making coffee brings me joy. I am really sorry for being stubborn." Marisa says as we have breakfast. Dad had suggested that she should stop working and focus on college.
"If that is what you want my dear then we will let you." Mom intervenes but i don't think dad is okay with it.
"Thank you mommy." Marisa replies with all smiles. Mom looks at dad pleading him to understand.
"Okay fine. You can still work at the coffee shop but.." we all stare at dad curiously waiting for him to say something.
"Under the condition that we are buying that coffee shop. You will be the owner of the coffee shop." Marisa's eyes widens in shock.
"Daddy, you don't have to buy the coffee shop. Ms. Anna the owner wont be happy about it, it will only bring a war. Please daddy? Just allow me to be a normal girl that i was." Marisa reasons out. She is right though.
"Liam, come on just let her be." Mom says.
"But i was told Ms. Anna has been looking for a potential buyer to sell her shop. She is currently facing a huge debt in the bank. The only way to save the restaurant is for one to but it off." Marisa and mom gasp out loud.
"What? Oh no!" Marisa states worriedly.
"So my dear daughter are you going to save it?." Dad asks Marisa. Marisa nods.
"Of course, that coffee shop brings out the best memories of me. I have been working there for years. So yes, i want to save it. And daddy, i will return back the money as soon as the business picks up." I shake my head. Oh Marisa is so stubborn. She is such a different girl. Being raised from a normal family has made her matured at a young age and she is very focused with her goals.
After a lot of convincing, dad finally agrees to her request.
She even refused a car which dad offered her. At least she agreed to be driven by a driver where ever she goes. She is still adjusting into the rich lifestyle.
"We are going for shopping my princess don't forget that." Mom reminds Marisa and Marisa smiles.
"Of course mommy, we are." She replies and sips on her coffee.
After they leave, dad and i are left alone.
"That little sister of yours is something. She reminds me so much of your grandma." Dad says. I chuckle and wish is could meet grandma.
"She will be okay. We just have to let her feel comfortable for now. Its not easy being a daughter of a billionaire." I tease making dad chuckle.
"So how is the construction going on?." Dad asks referring to the Australian project.
"Very well, the contractor is finalizing the third floor. I can say its almost 60 percent done. Now that you have mentioned it, i am looking for the best interior design company to start the interior design for the mall." Dad nods his head impressed by report.
"I have no doubt in you son. You make me proud each day." I smile as he pats my shoulder.
"So the wedding preparations?" Dad asks. I chuckle.
"About that, i am meeting up Chelsea to do the cake testing at 11." I smile thinking about it. All these wedding preparations make me so happy especially when Chelsea is with me.
