Y/n's pov

It was prom night. Since I took the dress from Mr. Dale, I didn't really have an excuse not to go anymore, but I didn't have much time to get ready either.

I took a shower, not that I wasn't wet already from the rain, and afterward I did my makeup.

After straightening my hair I was finally ready to put on the dress, but before that I just took a few seconds to admire it.

Wow.

It was laying on my bed like the simplest, yet most perfect thing ever. It wasn't too shinny, but it wasn't that casual either. Just...perfect. Like it was made for me...and only me.

Time skip to arriving at prom with Ash

Third person

Y/n and Ash pulled up in his car. Many people were actually looking at them. Not because of her, nor her best friend, but his car. Some people had to cover their ears, because it was too loud for them.

Actually, some folks might've been looking at her. Not only was she gorgeous, but also because of her and Ezra breaking up. They didn't expect her to come to prom given her recent breakup. All you could hear were whispers.

Ash parked his car and got out, but the girl realised she wasn't exactly welcome, so she didn't budge from the passenger seat. Thankfully, she didn't hear what they were talking about.

Ash made his way to the other side of the car and opened y/n's door.

'Hey...you good?'

She shook her head, while still looking straight.

'Come on.' He stretched his hand to her, but she didn't grab it. 'Hey,' he said softly. 'Look at me.' He placed his hand under and on her chin, trying to turn her head gently, but it didn't work. 'Please...?' he sighed, hoping for the best

She didn't want to deal with the other people, but hearing Ash beg her just to look at him made her realise how important he is to her and she hated seeing people she loved sad. And he did sound sad and...disappointed. Not with her, but because of the gossip going around.

So she turned around.

She wasn't crying, because there was something blocking the tears from flowing.

'Come on... let's show them who's the best.' He tried to cheer her up.

'I can't...' she whispered.

'What?'

'I can't move...'

She was frozen. As much as she wanted to move her body, she just couldn't.

'What do you mean you can't move? Here, let me help.'

He went in the car to take her seatbelt of, but then y/n saw somebody that was staying behind him all along.

Nathan...

Right then and there she felt her boy warming up, blood rushing all over her limbs. Her fingers could move, her legs could move too.

Ash stretched his hand to her again to help her get out.

'Are you okay?' he asked.

'Yes, I....don't know what happened. I'm perfect now though.'

'Good. Very good. Shall we go inside princess?' He bowed to her.

This made her chuckle, while she was getting out of the car, balancing herself on his hand.

'Yes, of course, monsieur.' She curtsied before him, too.

They made their way into the school, while the girl was side eyeing her maths teacher.
