The next morning
Y/n's pov
'Shit! Shit! Shit! Where the hell is ittt?' I was aggressively skimming through all the drawers I could find in my room .
I had to pack my bags for a school trip. Right after the graduation ceremony we will be leaving for a couple of day. My class, some of the teachers and I will be staying at small cozy villas in the mountains.
'Dad! Dad!?'
'What...?' he yelled annoyed from downstairs. I mean, can you blame him really? This is my fourth time asking him where something was.
'Do you know where my pil- nevermind!'
I found it.
'Make sure you take the power banks!' he warned me.
Shit! I had completely forgotten.
'Done!'
'Are you ready to go?'
'Coming.'

At the ceremony
My dad and Ash's parents were seated together.
All of the teachers were lined up on the stage, shaking all of their students' hands after they had taken their diplomas.
Soon enough it was my turn.
'Y/n Y/l/n. Major in mathematics and physics and an honorable student with a 3.8 GPA.'
What can I say? I'm a little bit of a nerd.
I walked on stage and shook hands with the principle as he handed over a piece of paper in a frame. This little thing held so much power over my future.
'Next up is Harry...' he continued to announce names of the people after me.
And I made my way through all the teachers, shaking their hands. None of them said a single word to me... except...
'Congratulation, y/n.'
Mr. Dale.
'Thank you, sir.'
He flashed a smile at my words.

After the ceremony
'There are three buses. You are separated into groups by a random order. Three teachers are assigned per group. Please, keep quiet and listen to me calling out your names and saying which group you belong to,' the headmaster announced. 'With Ms. Lee and Mr. Cameron:...' she proceeded to say the ex-students that these teachers have to look after. 'With Mr. Parker and Mrs. Perez...'
YES! She didn't say neither Ash's, nor my name. That means we're in the same group.
'Ash! Did you hear that?' I squeaked excitedly.
'I know right?! And guess who our teachers are?'
Oh, you've got to be kidding me. My facial expression changed completely.
'Mhm...Mr. Dale and Ms. Summers,' he lowered his voice.
