Nathan's pov
I instantly call Y/n.
Ring, ring...
"Pick uupp."
No answer. This is maddening. I dial the phone number Delila used to text me.
Ring, ring, ri-
"Well took you long enough," a woman's voice comes from the other end of the call.
"Where in the bloody hell is she?"
"No manners? Damn, things have changed then, I guess."
"Quit stalling. Where is she? What do you want?"
I'm going feral, growing paranoid. Think, think, think!! How can you track her, Nathan?
"Seems like you're in a hurry, so..." she keeps stalling.
"Where did you get these photos from?" I growl.
"Oh, you like them? I took them myself. Well, technically not myself, but I had people follow you. Turns out you got laid on a school trip! Ha! There was no way in hell I was going to miss that opportunity and leave without pictures."
The flash... The flash Y/n saw...
"What do you want?" I ask, again, and meanwhile put my phone on speaker. I barely open my chat with Aaron due to my anxiety skyrocketing.
I need help. Delila is back. I think she has Y/n. Can you somehow track her? I text my brother.
Does she have her phone on her person?
He has never replier faster to a message of mine.
I'm not sure. I'm on the phone with the Delila though. I reply.
"You have something of mine," Delila decides to answer my question. "So now I took something of yours."
Meet me at the house.
"What--" I'm clueless.
On the way.
"You haven't forgotten the girls, right? I didn't get paid because of you. I got into a whole lot of trouble. Now, I've decided I still want my money. You owe me," she explains.
"I don't have time for your stupid games."
"Oh, I'm not playing. You cost me well over a million dollars."
"Oh, yeah? You now want money, eh?" I'm almost at the house.
"Quite a lot, too. One million seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars," she added. If you play nice maybe I'll think about lowering it to 1.5 mil. But if you don't..." I could hear Y/n begging in the background.
"No, please," she cried. "Please, don't. I'll do anything."
"The clock is ticking," Delila came back to the phone. "I'll be staying in touch."
I arrived at the house. Aaron was already waiting at the front door.
"What the fuck happened?" My younger brother questioned me.
"She wants the money for the girls we saved," I grunted while slamming the door open.
"The fuck she does. You won't be giving it to her, right?"
"Well what am I supposed to do? Let her kill Y/n?"
"Shit. Okay, so the next time she calls I'll give you a cord that you will plug into your phone and we will track her. Alright?"
"Yes. Fine." I pace around the living room, trying to gather my thoughts. "I'm going to the bank."
"Jesus," Aaron runs his hands through his hair and leans over the table. "Are you mental? You're not seriously considering giving her what she wants, are you?" He is raising his voice at me.
"What do you expect me to do? Eh? Wait around for the crazy bitch to cut Y/n's throat? Or-- or maybe she'll decide to use the same method she used on you. A bullet hole sounds good, no? You think that I'll just sit around and wait for her to kill her. I am not loosing her! You hear me?" I'm out of breath and on the verge or collapsing. "You don't just give up on somebody you burn for. You fight and you fight until your last breath. I'm doing this with or without you. So, what's it going to be?"
He exhales heavily, "Just let me grab my laptop."
"I'll go start the car."
***
She's calling me. Aaron hands me the cord and I plug it into my phone whilst still driving.
"Watch doing," she says playfully.
"I'm on the way to the bank. Where are you?" I ask this for the millionth time.
"Are you alone?"
I glance at Aaron. "Yes. Where are you?" I'm still waiting for the answer to that question.
My brother mimics and mouths that I need to keep her on the phone for a little while longer.
"Good. Call me when you have the money."
"Wait!" I practically jump. "Can I hear her? Please," I beg.
"Goodbye, lover."
"Fuck!" I slam my fists into the steering wheel.
"You have your gun, right?" Aaron says while typing something on him computer.
"Always...? Why?" Confusion displayed on my face.
"Because we will need all of the firepower possible and my pistol won't be enough." He looks at me. "We got her."
"We got her?" The best sentence I've heard in the past couple of hours.
My brother nods.
"Where the bloody hell is she?" Curiosity strikes, but also the feeling of Y/n in my arms again make me want to strangle Delila a tad bit less.
