"Manager Lee?" I called out to my manager.

I heard a couple coughs on the other line.

"Did you make it safely?" He asked.

"Ne."

"I'll text you a phone number. Call that number and ask you to pick you up. He already knows what's going on." I could barely hear.

"Ne. I'll text you when I'm in a hotel."

"Be careful." He lastly told me and hung up.

Jongin stood next to me, his face blank as a white sheet of paper.

But the thing is, he was too engrossed into his own dreamland.

He didn't look very sane.

It was like a ghost trapped inside of him.

I waved my hand in front of his face.

"Yah..."

He slowly turned his head to face mine.

By that moment, I knew what was wrong.

He was crying.

"Hey, are you okay?" I asked, cupping his cheek with my right hand.

My phone buzzed in my left hand, but I instead ignored the text.

"A memory... it's my first one ever since..."

A memory?

Like, a memory I get when I fall asleep sometimes?

"A memory from... my past." A tear rolled down is cheek.

Shock hit me.

"You're... quarantined." I whispered.

He nodded in response.

I can't believe it.

I cannot understand how a sociable, kind boy like him would be quarantined.

"The memory was of my Mom. She was... she was..." He couldn't manage to finish the sentence without crying.

I pulled him into a hug.

"It's okay. Remember? I'm going through everything you are right now." I whispered into his ear, rubbing his back.

He pulled away from me and pointed at my phone.

"You have to call the number."

"R- right." I stuttered, my fingers trembling as I called the number Manager Lee texted me.

"Hello?" A man's voice said on the other line.

"Ye, yeoboseyo. My manager told me to call you..." I refused to say my name aloud in public.

"Ah... you're at LAX? I'll come and get you. Just wait an hour."

"An hour?" Jongin annoyingly muttered under his breath.

"Ah, ye. I guess I'll see you in an hour."

"Sure."

And he hung up on the phone.

He didn't really sound sociable.

He was speaking kind of fast and didn't ask for anything.

He just ordered me to do things.

"Let's go wait outside... it's a bit stuffy in here." I grabbed the handle to my suitcase and started walking out the exit.

A wave of cool air hit me, making me wake up instantly.
