"Hmph. I would've let him go this morning if you agreed with the marriage." He said, rolling his eyes in frustration.

"It's not like your nephew can marry me. The government chooses who I marry." I whispered, turning around to face Master Shin.

"Don't you think I have friends who work for the government?" He commented.

I didn't answer him.

Instead, I turned my focus back to Jongin.

My hand was still in the cell, trembling just like my voice.

A tear rolled down my cheek, my heart shattering into pieces.

"Jongin..." I cried.

He looked into my eyes and didn't say anything.

"Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. Times up, Soojung." Master Shin stopped us with an annoying voice.

He placed his hands on my shoulders and attempted to pull me away.

"Andwae...!" I cried, gripping onto the cell bars as tightly as I could.

Master Shin grunted as he tried pulling me away from Jongin.

"Oppa, why aren't you answering? Why aren't you doing anything?" I cried.

I ended up giving up, my arms and legs weak from no calories in my system.

"Ahjussi... jebal. Please give us some food and water...?" I begged, my hands at his feet.

He tapped his feet out of rage, and bit his lip, not knowing what to do with me.

"Do you want food or do you want to stay here with your apparent 'boyfriend' and get no food?" He asked.

Oh, gee.

Choosing myself or Jongin.

Which one do I love more...?

Food or Jongin?

"I don't know..." my voice was dry.

He kicked me in my chest area.

"Make up your mind! I'll kill you as a third option." He threatened.

My head banged against the cell, the metal ringing in my ears.

I slowly turned my head to look at Jongin in the eyes.

And, oh, his eyes plead for my comfort.

They were dry and full of sorrow.

I knew he wanted me to choose him.

But, right now, I'm hungry.

So hungry.

How will I fight without energy?

I put my hand back in the cell and held Jongin's face.

"Do you want me to be with you?" I tried to smile.

He slowly nodded, agreeing with what I had just asked.

I sighed, pulling my hand out and onto my lap.

"Please let me stay here." I muttered.

Master Shin grunted, taking out the keys that were dangling on his belt line.

"I'm being merciful. I'm not a total bad guy." He sighed, picking out a specific key to unlock the cell.

He put the key into the lock and turned it a bit.

And the cell unlocked.

Jongin immediately slumped to the floor when the cell door started opening.

With a natural instinct, I pulled his head into my arms

"What have you done to him to make him this sick?!" I screamed.

Master Shin didn't reply, only leaving a shrug.

"Who cares? He was sick on the plane anyways."

What the hell...?

How does he know...?

I didn't reply to his comment.

"I'll leave you two love birds alone." He muttered, making it sound like we were making out or something.

He walked over to the entrance and closed it.

Moments later, I heard him jingle a key through the lock and locked the door.

My attention went back to Jongin once more.

"Are you sick?" I whispered, supporting his neck with my arm.

I switched to criss-cross-apple-sauce position and laid his head in the middle of my legs.

His eyes were closed, his breathing was fast and short.

The tape was still on his mouth.

"This is going to hurt." I warned, placing my fingers at the tip of the piece of tape.

I yanked the piece of duct tape off with all the strength I had left.

Well, maybe too much strength, because Jongin was weeping the next second.

"Why did you do that? It hurt like the fire burning in hell!" He cried, hitting me with his tied hands.

"I still have to take the tape off your wrists and legs, pabo." I yelled.

I wiped the sweat off my forehead with the inside of my elbow.

Gently, I started pulling off the tape on his wrists & feet.

He didn't complain; he just sat there, wincing in pain when something really hurt.

I started gathering all the tape in the corner of the room, marking it as the garbage pile.

As I beginning to sit down, he grabbed my wrist and pulled me down to face him.

My shrieked, not knowing how to respond.

Our faces were only inches apart, and I had a desire to get closer.

"No... you can't."

"You... You make my heart ache for you, Soojung. Everything that's happened between us so far, it was all real to me. It wasn't fake; I cherished every memory with you."

"Jongin... are you going crazy?"

"Crazy for you."

And just like that, he pulled me in closer a kiss.

Not a peck on the cheek.

A real kiss.
