Ch. 47

"Seolma... Jongin... you couldn't have." I started freaking out.

I started coughing, the air inside the car smelled like smoke.

The car was on fire.

A pain shot through my back, causing me to bend over.

"Soojung, etteoke?" Jongin started crying, his face was filled with tears already.

I couldn't answer due to lack of oxygen.

"Jongin... get out."

"I can't leave you here!"

"Run away and I'll take the blame."

"Soojung, no. I killed him, not you."

"Leave."

"No!"

"Leave, Jongin. Do you want to live or die?"

"..."

"You want to live, right?"

He nodded.

"Then go." I smiled.

He looked up into my eyes.

"I'm so sorry, Soojung." He cried, giving me one last hug.

I gave him one last kiss before I was going to die.

"I love you." I whispered.

"I will never forget you." He said.

He started unbuckling his seatbelt, struggling with it due to the shift in balance.

He could barely stand up, coughing and crying while he did.

My eyes started burning, the smoke and tears mixing together.

Their were shouts outside the car.

None of the shouts were in Korean.

All of the shouts were in English.

Jongin forced himself to move up to the drivers seat and sit next to a dead body.

"Oh my God. Oh my God." Jongin kept muttering to himself.

He started punching and kicking the window, but the window didn't budge.

The smoke started becoming more thick and heavy, making it harder to breath.

"AIIIIISH!" Jongin yelled, kicking the window with all of his power.

Somehow, even through the sounds of the fire and shouting, some of the bystanders heard Jongin's grunts and screams.

The window shattered with the help of some bystanders.

"OH MY GOODNESS! It's a 15-year old and his father?" A woman shrieked.

By the time Jongin was pulled out of the car and there were police on the sight, I was already unconscious and in my own world.
