I totally flipped out over that small statement;

"What?"

"Are you high?"

"You were dating my mother?"

My mind couldn't stop buzzing.

Him in love with my mother?

Please.

"Calm down, Soojung. All I want is to be back with your mother."

I unbuckled my seatbelt and sprang up to the drivers seat.

"YOU WILL NO LAY ONE FINGER ON-"

Jongin caught me before I started punching Shin Jae Moo-ssi.

"Hajima." Jongin cautioned.

I calmed down with Jongin's words.

"You're basically using me to get to my mom? You're still in love with her?" I asked, walking back to my seat.

He started up the car again and began driving.

"You know, you're mom was as gentle as a flower." He continued.

I thought for a second.

Mom was in her 40's and Shin Jae Moo looked like he was in his 30's...

"How old are you?" I abruptly asked.

"41."

Oh.

So he wasn't that much younger than my mother.

"...you were in love with someone whom you called 'noona'?" Jongin asked.

"Yes, but as I said, she was as gentle as a flower. I'm pretty sure she still is."

No reply.

We continued on the busy highway of LA, eventually getting stuck in traffic every 5 minutes.

I eventually dozed off in the middle of their love story.

//

"Soojung!" Jongin shook me awake from my nap.

"...?" I looked at him in the eyes.

Despair.

Nervousness.

Anger.

His eyes showed traits of something bad.

I realized that the car was tipped over on its side and we were on our side as well.

"Soojung... I killed..." He started shaking very badly.

I slowly cocked my head to the drivers seat and saw Jaemoo-ssi leaning onto the passenger seat in a weird position with blood on the side of his head and on his hands and clothes.

"Jongin... you couldn't have..." I whispered.

"Yes, I did."
