Draco sat by his window the next morning before breakfast.
"You didn't come to our room until late last night." Theo said.
"Oh," Draco hesitated. "I was in the library." He lied.
"Ah," Theo smiled. "Where Y/n is?"
Draco didn't say anything.
"How is that bet going anyways? Do you reckon she likes you?"
Draco opened his mouth one or two times and closed it. He finally opened it. "I don't think so."
"I'm sure she's warming up to you. I caught her staring at you at dinner." Blaise suddenly interrupted.
Theo chuckled. "Callist will swear that she was looking at him instead."
Blaise shrugged, approaching them. "Callist is delusional up there," he tapped his temple. "The effects of being a death eater, gentlemen."
"Then does that mean you're delusional too, Blaise?" Theo grinned.
Blaise grabbed his pillow and threw it at Theo.

That breakfast, they had caught each others eyes. He looked at her from down the table, with a blank stare. She looked back, with a conflicted one.
She was ignoring her friends, and he was ignoring his own.
The first lesson of the day, potions, she couldn't help but not take her eyes off from the back of his head as he sat a few seats in front.
She couldn't help but admire his neatly brushed hair, and his posture when he sat, and every time he looked down to write a note in his book.
Later that day in Care of Magical Creatures, he couldn't help but stare when she was made to help Hagrid with a creature demonstration. He got away with it too, since everyone else was staring also, at the demonstration that is.
Her sleeves were rolled up and her cheeks were slightly flushed from helping Hagrid. She laughed as Hagrid told his usual jokes, and it brightened her face even more.
Mathew Callist had also whistled at her, earning Slytherin a 5 point deduction from Hagrid, and a glare from the rest of the Slytherins for it.
"Slytherin works hard for their points, Callist." A Slytherin had commented bitterly as they walked by him, making sure their satchel bumped into him roughly behind. They were in the great hall that night for dinner.
"God, just get over it!" Mathew complained, rolling his eyes.
"I don't know, it seems like a pretty good reason to be mad, since you've done it 5 times before." Johnathan reasoned as he ate a piece of his bread.
"Who cares anyway? It's just a silly trophy."
"Just because you couldn't keep it in your pants doesn't mean the rest of us have to account for your actions." Blaise commented, pointing a fork.
Mathew shoved the fork away with disgust, and started to eat his food.
Draco didn't say anything as per usual, and looked away down the table. Y/n was in her usual seat, eating, but this time with a book in the other hand. He squinted his eyes to get a better look at the cover, and he recognised it to be the book he last returned.
Romeo and Juliet.
He was taken out of his thoughts when Mathew snapped a finger in his face.
"What?" Draco almost snapped, looking at him.
