All Monday, he had tried meeting her eyes. But it was impossible. They never sat next to each other in classes, and he could only stare at her, waiting for her to look back. Which she barely did.

He was content when he decided she would be at the library, and she wouldn't avoid him then.

He held the play with the two ripped pages in his hand as he made his way to the library. He looked at the carved wooden door for a little too long before he pulled himself out of it and pushed the door open. It was quite full, but he paid no mind.

His eyes darted all around until he caught Y/n entering an isle with a few books floating behind her.

"L/n," he said from behind her and she jumped a little, turning around.

She took a deep breath. "I'm not kissing you."

He held up the play. "I just came to ask about this," he opened it up to the first ripped page.

"You ripped it?!" She stepped closer as she looked at the open book in his hand.

"No L/n," he flipped to the back page where her signatures were. "You did."

Her lips parted as her eyes narrowed. "I did not rip it, you did. And you have to pay for it now."

"But I didn't borrow this." He smiled as he closed the book and slid it an empty space in the shelf. She pulled it out.

"That's not even the right place."

He shrugged as he lazily crossed his arms. "Not my problem."

She opened the book and flipped through it. Her eyes widened. "You ripped two pages out?!"

"No— you did."

"Don't joke around with me right now,"

"I wonder what Madam Pince will think?"

She stared at him disbelievingly.

"And you can't possibly go to Hogsmeade to buy a new one and replace it—" he leaned his head to her. "—it's Monday." He whispered, a smile on his lips.

He saw her eyes dart to the floor, starting to think of how she could solve this.

"Do you have the ripped pages?"

"Like I said, it was already ripped when I started to read it."

"Do you really expect me to believe that?"

"You know," he leaned into her ear. "I know a secret passage to Hogsmeade. You could sneak right in, buy a replacement, and come back."

She leaned away. "I'm not sneaking out of school!" She whispered, her eyes looking around to make sure no one was listening.

"Sure you can," he paused as he leaned back. "I know the way."

She didn't respond. She was thinking about it.

"What other choice do you have? We'll go after curfew."

She took a deep breath.

"Y/n dear I need you over here when you're done with those books!" Madam Pince called from the counter.

"I'll be right there!" Y/n swallowed.

"Fine," she snapped.

"Great." He smiled.

She only stared at him with anger. "Don't look so angry. The book was due for a replacement anyways, the poor things about to disintegrate."

She slapped the book on his head.

He flinched and cracked a smile. "A few more hits and the book is sure to fall apart."

"Meet me in the common room after curfew." She walked off before he could reply.

It was after curfew that night and Draco was waiting for five minutes for Y/n until she finally came down.

"I thought you bailed on me," he watched her walk down the stairs from the girls' dormitory. Her hair was different he noticed, and she wore a dark red sweater.

"I wish I did." She stopped a metre away from him and crossed her arms. She was really pretty. Really pretty for someone who looked up at him with a hard stare and her arms crossed. Nothing friendly at all, but he didn't find himself complaining.

Draco let out a quiet content sigh as he turned around and started leading the way to the secret tunnel.

She walked closely behind him to wherever he was leading her.

Draco was close to the secret entrance, until he heard a loud noise. Before he could react, something had latched onto his arm from behind him tightly. He turned his head to look behind him.

"L/n?"

"Can you just hurry up?!" She demanded quietly.

He sighed and turned forward again, starting to pick up his pace. Y/n still held onto his arm but it was lighter with less grip. Again, he liked it. Something about it made him happy, though, he didn't know what.

Finally, Draco had reached the ordinary looking pillar. He looked around before he tapped a stone tile three times, and a small trap door in the floor had materialised.

He turned his head back to look at Y/n.

"After you."

"Real classy." She muttered as she let go and bent down to open the trap door in front of him. He stepped back as she opened it. There was a small spiral staircase. He went down after her and was happy to see the path was still the same.

He eventually lead the way and after three minutes of walking, they reached Hogsmeade from a door in a dark and abandoned alley.

"How did you even find out about this?" She asked.

Draco was quiet for a moment. "I guess it was a perk." He muttered as he closed the door behind them.

He turned away from the door to find her staring at him. "We better go then, the shop will close soon."

"Shops in Hogsmeade don't close until late, don't worry." He walked ahead and out of the alley, walking in the direction of the bookstore with her following close behind.

They finally reached the bookshop.
