"We bought it at an auction." Roger started as the three sat across from the couple again to question them a bit further about the home. "So, you know, we never knew who lived here." He added with a shrug seeming a bit confused on the reason for them wanting to know a bit more about the home after they had just been interviewed somewhat on it.

Ed glanced at his wife and daughter who looked over at him, both holding expressions of exhaustion and he couldn't help but sigh knowing what caused it before responding to Roger and Carolyn, "Well, Lorraine and I, even Genevieve here, all feel that what your house needs is a cleansing. An exorcism."

"What, exorcism?" Roger exclaimed in almost a whisper of disbelief before he stuttered over his own words, "I thought- I thought... I thought that was somethin' that you do to people."

Lorraine shook her head as she breathed out an exaggerated sigh, "Not necessarily, no."

"We have to get out of here." Carolyn whispered in panic towards her husband as she reached over and grabbed a hold of his hand.

Genevieve couldn't help but shake her head towards the two. Neither of them had done wrong but she just didn't know how either of them could believe that just stepping out of the home would help fix their problem.

"I'm afraid that's not gonna help." Ed said as he paused the couple in front of the three from stopping a possible idea that they could've had about just packing up and leaving to who knows where at this point. He then turned to the two beside them, as he paused, "Uh, Lorraine saw somethin' which... just go ahead, hon."

Lorraine took a pause before beginning to explain it all to the couple who urged for her to continue with their pleading expressions etched on their faces, "I've been seeing the dark entity. that haunts your house and your land." She took another moment as if recollecting the memory hurt before she continued, "I saw it first when I came through your door, it was latched to your back. And then I saw it with the girls when we walked into the living room. And it doesn't matter where you go, this dark entity has latched itself to your family and it's feeding off you."

"Even if we leave?" Carolyn asked after she rubbed a hand over her face, it was clear that she was beyond distressed, and she had no clue what to do about the situation. No one could blame her; they would be the same if they were in her shoes too.

Shaking his head at her idea, Ed began to explain his reasoning for his action, "Sometimes when you get haunted, it's like steppin' on gum. You take it with you.

"Look, I gotta tell you, you have a lot of spirits in here." Lorraine began causing Carolyn to put her face in her hands and for Roger to close his eyes in disbelief while Genevieve's mother continued to speak, "But this is the one that I'm most worried about because it is so hateful."

Genevieve nodded as she added after a moment of silence, "The spirit is so forceful with its action and very aggressive as well. It's a surprise that it's been just taunting you for this long and hasn't just taken control as it might wish to do so."

"Okay, so what do we do?" Roger asked as he sighed before shrugging, "Can we call a priest?"

Ed tilted his head a bit unsure but knew what the answer was, "I wish it were that easy. Performing an exorcism is an archaic procedure. Requires years of training. And even then, I have seen it go wrong in such a horrible manner." He shared a look with Lorraine before turning back to the couple, "But before we even get that far, the church has to authorize it first. So, it means we got to investigate, gather evidence and provide proof, and that's the hard part."

"How is that the hard part?" Roger questioned a bit confused and curious.

Genevieve leaned forward a bit in her seat before responding, "Sometimes entities won't show themselves. They are smarter than one would think and soon as you turn that camera off is when you'll see most of the power that they tend to hide when the camera is on."

Nodding, the five then continued to make small conversation over what else could be done before the three knew that it was time to head home.

As they walked out of the door, Ed was the first to question. "Have your children ever been baptized?" He had asked that of Roger and Carolyn who were facing him in concern.

"Uh, no. We never got around to that." Roger explained before adding, "We're not really a churchgoing family here so..."

Nodding, Ed attempted to convince him, "Well, you might want to rethink that." Roger mumbled a small question of why so causing Ed to pursue, "Our presence here could make things worse."

"How so?" Carolyn questioned as she furrowed her brows before looking around for a moment.

Ed smirked, "Well, because we're a threat." He noticed Lorraine and Genevieve share an amused glance before reuttering what he meant in a different manner, "And whatever you're dealing with here isn't going to like us. See, so far like my daughter mentioned earlier, it hasn't done anything violent and that's a good sign." Roger nodded at his words and was about to speak before Ed continued, "So, we're going to have our guy come do some homework on the property, though to see what we're up against."

The two males then began to converse in a bit of small talk while Lorraine occasionally added in a bit of words when needed.

"I've been meaning to ask..." Carolyn began as she stood beside Genevieve who turned to give her all of her attention. "How do you know that the spirit is forceful and aggressive?"

Genevieve shrugged a bit, "I felt it."

"Sorry, just one more question..." The mother of the family asked causing Genevieve to nod urging for her to continue talking causing the woman to feel a bit of relief that she hadn't been bothering the girl, "Do you have a gift like your mother, or is it different?"

Smiling in a sad manner, Genevieve didn't hesitate in answering with a knowing look in her eye, "Different. I'm somewhat of a vessel. It's hard to believe and a bit harder to understand but these spirits, if trying hard enough, could use me to attach themselves to. It's why I have to be extremely careful and vigilant at all times." She then muttered a farewell before following her parents into the car leaving Carolyn to think.
