· • —– ٠ ✤ ٠ —– • ·The Warren's, excluding Judy, drove back to the Perron household the following day with Drew Thomas in his own vehicle following behind them. As soon as the two vehicles parked, all exited their cars and greeted one another once more. Drew and Genevieve couldn't help but hold a long length of eye contact when they believed no one was watching. "Oh. Here's Brad." Lorraine muttered with a small smile deflecting her husband's attention away from their daughter. She knew that he was beginning to suspect something about the two and knew how dramatic he could be, so she decided to help her daughter out before Ed could make a scene over something unneeded.
Genevieve tore her eyes away from Drew and looked at the vehicle approaching. The person who, her mother deemed as Brad had turned off his engine and stepped out of the vehicle making his presence known, as well as showcasing that he was a part of the law enforcement.
"You find it okay?" Drew questioned towards the officer with a teasing grin causing Genevieve to conceal her own amusement with the sleeve of her shirt.
Brad looked between the two for a quick moment before nodding in response as he answered towards the cameraman, "Oh, yeah."
Noting that the two hadn't been introduced, Lorraine stepped forward a step and gestured one towards the other two with a point of her finger, "Drew, Genevieve, this is Officer Brad." Before she could introduce the other to Drew and her daughter as well, he seemed to wish to do that for himself as he walked right towards where Drew stood with Genevieve beside him and stuck out both hands for each to shake.
"Officer Brad Hamilton, Harrisville, Rhode Island, PD." He said in greeting allowing them both to shake his hand with a friendlier grin that he had now compared to earlier.
Genevieve smiled being polite before taking her hand out of his hold and stepping closer to Drew without noticing her own actions. Drew nodded his head to the man, took a bite out the cookie he had been holding and gave a small grin, "Mm. Nice to meet you, man." He noticed Brad look towards the house before letting out a laugh as well with a small hum following after, "So you're the lucky new cop, huh?"
"Guess so." Brad shrugged in a nonchalant manner making Genevieve scoff hoping that he would be the first to witness something because she could tell just from his demeanor that he didn't believe in a single thing that they were all here to do at the moment.
Drew found the entire situation humorous with Brad, that much was obvious. So of course, he wouldn't be able to stop himself from continuing to tease the man beside him as he then added, "You know you can't shoot ghosts, right?" He looked at Genevieve for a moment before grinning a bit brighter than earlier, "This isn't like Scooby-Doo either dude."
Crossing her arms over her chest, Genevieve wanted to be irritated but there was no reason to be. It confused her but she shrugged it off and turned her head to the left. She furrowed her brows after seeing a figure move between the trees. Not knowing what it could be, she decided to turn her attention back to the conversation at hand deciding not to focus on the strong shift in energy that she was beginning to feel.
"Take it easy on him, Drew." Ed laughed as he nudged his daughter to help him take out the items from the car. She did as she was told but before she could walk away, Ed placed a hand on her shoulder and gave her a glance asking if she was alright. Genevieve nodded in response knowing what he had been referring to seeing as she wasn't that discreet with her reactions. Being satisfied with her answer, her father then turned to the other two males and gestured for them to come over, "All right, guys, help me get this stuff unloaded." He handed a smaller bag to Brad than he did with Drew and nodded, "You take this."
Lorraine was the first to walk towards the Perron household watching as Roger stepped out first. "Hi, Roger." She greeted him as she made her path up the steps with Drew and Genevieve following after walking side by side into the home once being allowed in the home.
Everyone was put to help set up and Genevieve had been in charge of connecting a wire near the other that her father and Drew were working on as well in the same hall.
"When you're finished why don't you hit upstairs, all right, Drew?" Ed brought up before stepping down from the chair he was standing on and walking away mentioning that he had to set some stuff up outside with Brad and Roger being there to help him. Genevieve watched as her father walked further and further away before turning around and noticing that Drew already had his attention on her.
She grinned softly and looked away unaware of Drew smiling at the reaction that he caused her to have. Laughing a bit, he turned around and walked up the stairs and continued to set up the extra cameras and other equipment that would be needed to catch the evidence that they needed.
Finishing with the extra wire set ups downstairs, Genevieve couldn't help but let out a small sigh as she made her way to the room that held the UV light. She made her way onto the seat beside the desk and proceeded to place her head down feeling a heavy sense of weight over her shoulders but ignored it for the moment.
"Hi..." A feminine voice was heard with a few knocks following after. Genevieve looked up and let her eyes furrow just a bit at the sight as she was a bit confused if she were being honest.
