Genevieve's father pushed at the windows that didn't seem to move, claiming, "Windows are locked," and Genevieve couldn't help but stare at the closet. She moved forward towards it but Roger pushed past her and moved the clothes around before he turned to her father once more.
"Ed! Where'd she go?!" She didn't blame him for his reaction, she would've been much worse if it were her child or even her partner in a situation like this.
Brad who ran in right as Ed needed shivered at the cold feeling that he had gotten from entering the room. "Brad, get the UV light." Ed commanded as he was looked at in bewilderment from the police officer.
"The what?"
"Ask Drew," Genevieve said before pointing down the stairs.
When he returned with it, Ed told him to turn off the light as they all stood back. Following after the footprints it was clear that she had been in the closet. With the thumping that was heard when Ed hit against the closet, it was much clearer that she was in the walls once Brad had hit the light, and Ed had moved the closet door from the other side of it.
"Found her."
Genevieve sighed in relief once the words came out of her father's mouth. Passing her to Roger, the two headed back downstairs obviously dumbfounded over what just happened while Lorraine who was at the door with April who had been holding a toy. She watched as her mother stopped smiling after April spoke to her before she gestured for Genevieve to check what was behind the wall.
Entering the hole, she couldn't help but feel a bit safe. Sure, it was disgusting, but she didn't feel as afraid as she did in the rest of the home.
Lorraine came in right after, it wasn't much space but the two made it work. She pointed for her mother who stood behind her to light her flashlight towards the toys that stood on the shelves and noticing that one was missing. "Hone, could I have April's music box please?" She asked Ed who handed it her in return while she handed it to Genevieve for her to place.
The two watched as it fell perfectly into place before something else drifted their attention.
"Can you step back super quick mom?" Genevieve asked as she spotted something underneath the shelf and beside her foot. Her mother did as told stepping back at a distance to where her light could still provide a sense of sight for her daughter.
She watched as Genevieve tugged at the rope before hearing a gasp fall from her lips. Wanting to question her just like Ed wanted to with his head peeking from the hole, the parents watched as Genevieve began to stand with Lorraine following before she placed her foot in the wrong place causing the two to come crashing down.
"Girls!" Ed shouted in distress as the two continued to fall down the walls landing in two opposite directions somehow.
Whereas inside the home Ed and Drew who was briefly told what happened through Brad, were in distress checking each wall to see if they could find their girls.
Back to the woman who had fallen, groans could be heard from Genevieve who landed on her arm while Lorraine turned in hopes of looking for her daughter.
As Genevieve moved to sit up, she felt heavy breathing beside her ear. She closed her eyes knowing what was to come before opening them and seeing a woman who appeared to have been crying, jump at her before everything went black.
Nothing was in her control at this point. She could hear and feel what was going on but that was about it, "Genevieve!" Her mother shouted from afar. Weeping followed after that real quick. She felt her arms move up and wrap themselves around something. Coughing and a rough push made her fall against the floor as she felt herself being shaken, "Genevieve! Sweetheart come on! Remember what we did last time!" That was her mother's voice, she knew it but she still couldn't respond.
"She made me do it..." She heard with the sound of creaking as well. A sound of genuine terror from her mother was strong but she couldn't control herself as she felt herself pulling at something before, she was picked up and shaken once more thanks to her father who had got the two out of the basement.
Lorraine was in tears as she hugged Genevieve knowing that this time wasn't as bad as the last, but it took her longer to wake up from being controlled by a spirit.
Explaining that she possesses the mother to kill the child, Lorraine still cried as she was shaken up from the entire ordeal, moving so that Drew could pick Genevieve off the floor as he held her by the waist to keep her upright.
"What?" Carolyn asked portraying confusion, but Genevieve didn't buy it this time.
She watched as her mother shook her head, feeling the same, that she had to have been somewhat possessed now, "She visits Carolyn every night. That's what the bruise marks are! She's feeding off of her!"
It stayed silent for a minute, before rattling came from the cross that was positioned across from them, all watching as it fell with the rest of the crosses doing the same.
Tightening her hold on Drew, Genevieve watched as Christine called out to Nancy whose hair had begun to float upwards. She was quick to be pulled in the air and thrown across the room, causing glass to smash as she hit the wall.
"Are you okay?" Roger questioned as he reached his daughter, just for her to be dragged across the floor and out of his reach.
Brad attempted to do the same but was flipped onto his back. Even Ed tried to keep her steady but the force of whatever pulling her was obviously stronger.
Getting frustrated, Lorraine grabbed a pair of scissors and when Nancy reached Brad, she positioned herself and cut part Nancy's hair which caused the chaos to diminish.
