If you asked Josie Parker what she would dream of doing as the world ends in about two days, 31 year old her would say make amends with everyone's lives she's ruined, or drink and party until it happens. But here she is, physically 16 and sleeping uncomfortably as she watches over five hargreeves who slept soundly in his own bed.
It was only two in the morning as Josie gasped from another nightmare she had, rubbing her eyes and bringing her feet down so she got to stretch a little. "You alright?" Fives voice croaked, scaring Josie a little.
Turning in his direction as he put his lamp on, Josie yawned and nodded her head. "Fine." She responded, still feeling sleepy. Five took his time to sit up on his bed, wondering who tucked him into bed as he watched Josie stand up in the same pyjamas as him.
Walking over to the window and feeling her feet waking up after falling asleep for so long, it took a while for the circulation to be okay again, turning to five. "How are you feeling?" She asked walking back over to her spot.
Five shrugged his shoulders, not knowing what to feel. Josie understood how he felt, walking towards the edge of the bed, Josie was just happy five was feeling like his normal self.
"Want any water? Your robot mom said I'm your personal servant until she is done recharging? I checked out while she was talking. "
Shaking his head and ignoring eye contact with Josie, she knew it was time to go back to her little corner, grabbing the blanket from the ground. "Night Hargreeves." Josie mumbled, bringing her feet up and about to close his eyes when she hears five say something.
"Parker there's plenty of space for you to sleep on my bed? I know you have knee problems." Five said in a softening tone, which he only does when he feels bad for someone— in this case, it was Josie.
Being taken back from surprise, Josie was hesitant, pretending like she was still sleeping as five sighed. "Josie I can literally see you smiling." Five huffed, already regretting to show some emotion towards the girl that has been tagging along.
"Well of course," Josie scoffed, "I have never seen you politely offer something. Of course I'll take the offer." Josie jumped off the chair, walking over to the right side of the bed and taking the blanket with her so five could have his own.
"Good." Five softly said, just loud enough to put a smile on his own face. Watching him struggle a little to lay back down, Josie faced his way as five did the same. "Thanks again, for uh— holding me when I fainted." Five awkwardly said.
Josie gave a little grin, between the small gap they had, Josie tried to not read fives' mind, accepting the thank you. "It was no problem." She whispered, seeing him stay content.
"Im glad you're okay, I don't like a lot of people Hargreeves, but you're definitely my number one person to care about." Josie whispered, hesitating as she leaned a little to kiss fives cheek, feeling his red hot face.
Tension began to rise a little, Josie didn't want to admit it, telling him to turn off the light as if nothing happened, still playing her hard to get face. As the two both faced the ceiling, they knew the boundary that was between the two, not wanting to cross it.
Josie made the first move, now she was just hoping five would make his move.
The next morning the two ex-killers woke up on the same side of the bed, hearing the romantic gestures Klaus was doing beside them. "Awe my favourite lovebirds sleeping in the same bed." He gushed, finally waking up Josie as she rolled her eyes.
Five too woke up, telling Klaus to go away. "Oh come on, this is cute. The Sexual tension between you two is getting hot and heavy."
"Klaus no."
