4 hours earlier

She was too drunk to know where she was going, hearing a speech from five, shouting her out many times, more than he did to his siblings.

Feeling a little teary eyed, Josie turned on her bed, noticing five wasn't in bed yet, frowning and hoping he'd be back soon, getting out of bed and putting her slippers on.

Exiting the hotel room and calling out for five, Josie heard someone down the hall, scrunching up her face, leaning against the wall, watching five looked through a sliver of a door.

"The hell are you doing?" Josie hissed in his ear, scaring the boy half to death, shushing her with his hand over her mouth both breathing heavily as they scooted away from the suite.

"My father is in there." Five told her, Josie trying to find a point in this conversation. "You were supposed to come to bed." She told the boy, five nodding, helping her walk, both practically carrying each other.

"I know, but I'm out of rum, shall we get more?" He asked her, Josie nodding, deciding to run to get it first, five catching up to her; both running like children down the stairs.

The lobby was free, doing cartwheels and truly feeling like children, running to the kitchen and finding more drinks, Josie giggling as she poured herself and five a drink.

"To us." Said Josie, cheering with five, the girl winking at him. "To the end of the world." He corrected, Josie not liking that answer, not feeling like she wanted to drink anymore. She didn't want the world to end anymore, wanting to do something about it.

Her head was pounding a little, groaning as she woke up, knowing she wasn't in bed, however fives hand was on her waist, waking up to being in the kitchen, furrowing her eyebrows.

"What the hell did we get up to?" Josie groaned, not in her dress but pj's quite scandalous ones, pulling her shorts down a little. "When did you get down here?" Five asked, noticing her outfit.

"Why didn't you come up to bed?" She asked, finding some champagne, needing it for breakfast. "Clearly I had bigger plans." He sassed, grabbing some of the bottle, needing it to help with the hangover.

"Oh look at us, having champagne for breakfast." Josie teased, five grabbing the bottle as the two began to get out of the kitchen. Yesterday was all a blur, rubbing her eyes and feeling very thin in her pj's, pressing her lips together.

"So, what did you get up to last night?" Josie asked, their hands holding together, Josie quite liking that; hoping five wouldn't notice. "I think dad and someone made a deal, I don't know who." Five said, also remembering him and Josie on the counters dancing together.

"You sure you saw that?" Josie asked, remembering how they were running around the hotel like kids, proper kids. "Least I think I did. He was in the suite where Stanley got kugelblitzed."

"Oh my god I thought I dreamt that, he's still gone?" Josie asked, getting sad all of a sudden, five feeling a little bad for her. "One day you'll be the best aunt to any of my siblings kid, don't forget that." Five told her, but heading up the stairs and screaming.

"What the fuck?!" Josie screamed, covering fives eyes to see Diego and Lila on the staircase, getting a little intimate with each other. "Don't you knock?" Diego asked, Josie shaking her head and whining.

"It's eight in the morning! Why?!" She nearly screamed, Lila covering herself up and Diego. "This is worse than the apocalypse." Five mumbled, Josie nodding her head.

Watching the two scoot over, Josie ran to the bathroom to wash the memory out of her eyes, five leaning on the door and watching her try to flush it out. "That was terrible! Absolutely terrible." Josie groaned, nearly waterboarding herself.

"Parker washing your eyes is just getting rid of your mascara." Five pointed out, Josie having raccoon eyes, looking in the mirror. "It's supposed to be waterproof." She whined, shaking her head at that.

Grabbing the paper towels, Josie couldn't care to fix it, walking back to their room, forcing five to change, Josie doing the same in their designated corners.

Wearing a white hoodie and putting her hair in pigtails, Josie looked over and scoffed, five still wearing another suit, shaking her head. Walking to the champagne and grabbing it, Josie and five looked over to see their world breaking, seeing a place they could go and sit.

"Let's go." Five told her, Josie grabbing his hand as the two left the hotel, looking at the world around them, the two staring at each other. "Can't believe we're giving up." Josie said, five looking at her.

"What?" He asked, the girl furrowing her eyebrow. "Giving up? We've spent so much time trying to save the world, and we're just the problem. We have to give up." He explained, Josie shaking her head.

"Five we left our jobs to save your family, we went to save your family. I came with you to save your family because that's how much I was inspired by you. You didn't give up in the first apocalypse so why are you giving up now?"

Sitting on the edge and hoping they weren't going to get kugelblitzed, Josie took the bottle from five, sighing and looking at him. "Because this time I have you. All I've wanted was to have my happy ending. You are my happy ending in every timeline." Five explained, taking the bottle from her to drink it.

"That's sweet, but that doesn't mean we should just give up, that's stupid." Josie said, needing to knock some sense into him. "Listen when I went to the commission he told me to not save the world—"

"And what good will that do? Nothing! You have to come up with something to get us out five, maybe my thinking skills are finally cooperating as a teenager—"

"You're only a teenager physically."

"Yeah well I'm thinking like a teen now. I'm not going to stand around and wait for the apocalypse to take me. I don't want that to be our happy ending. There must be a way to stop it."

"The girl is right." Both looking to see Reginald come over, Josie didn't like that he agreed with her, staring at the two. "I wish he didn't say that." Josie mumbled.

"You two can imagine why I'm here." He said, both of them letting him continue. "Would you mind?" Reginald asked Josie, wanting her to go inside to speak with him.

"Good luck with trying to get him on your side, it won't be happening." Josie said, five helping her get up, patting Reginald's shoulder.

"And she's your girlfriend?" She heard Reginald asked, walking over back to the hotel. "She's my everything." Smirking and opening the doors, Josie saw everyone sitting in the front, immediately looking at Diego and Lila, shaking her head.

"Oh, you saw them too huh?" Asked Luther, Josie sitting beside her sister anyways, the girl kissing her head. "Unfortunately." Josie mumbled, Lila hitting her arm, Josie and her feeling like children in that moment to keep hitting each other.
