There was no such thing as home for Josie Parker, laying on the couch of Elliot's and wishing there was something she could do, simply giving up. Turning down the handler was the smart choice, but she did wish she hugged her mom, staring at the ceiling and sighing. It had been a day now with the family not leaving 1963, and the last thing josie wanted was to be stuck here in the home of someone who died because of them. Josie and five weren't speaking like normally, because of the way her mental breakdown didn't help the relationship, on the urge of grabbing a knife and stabbing five.
No five, no problem. At the same time, Josie needed five more than anything, annoyed with these new upcoming emotions she hasn't felt in ages, the downside of being a teenage girl, it was hell.
Nothing she did was ever going to be good, and watching her older self be so happy to break her own contract pained her. She had nothing going in her life, every now and then on mission she hoped she would run into five, have a drink with him in different places and timelines, always having butterflies no matter what he said or did. She was whipped for him and she didn't understand why, but she knew deep down he was feeling the same.
All she could feel was hunger, growing tired of chasing for something to happen with high expectations. She should've known the moment she went with five to 2019 that nothing will ever be the same again, sighing loudly and needing to figure out her own life if she was going to be stuck here from now on.
She had thought about going back to school and act like nothing even happened, seeing some girls she knew as she walked home. Home— more like Elliot's home.
"You alright kiddo?" Closing her eyes for two seconds, Josie flinched at the sight of Diego upside down, sitting up for him to sit down, making room. "Define alright." She sassed, huffing a little.
"This is about five isn't it?" He asked, her silence answering the question. Josie couldn't believe she was about to have a heartfelt conversation with Fives brother, not to mention he one whose been teasing her like it's nothing.
"Listen; he's been like this for the longest time; but the fact you're still here shows you care about him whether he sees it or not. He'll come around, you're family now." He told her, something she's been wanting to hear for so long.
Reassurance, someone telling her she's doing okay, and with Diego, it was like having an older brother that makes fun of her, but also wants her to know she's loved, smiling at her.
"Really?" She asked, Diego smiling at her. "Of course! From the moment you fell outta the sky in our house, I knew you were a keeper for five." He teased, his eyes still sad with how Kennedy went down, but they seemed even more sad after this conversation.
"I'm assuming you and Lila broke up?" Josie asked, Diego not answering. "She'll be back for you, it's so obvious she loves you." Josie told him, patting his back. Feeling some energy to change and get ready, josie saw Klaus in the bedroom sad, knowing his ghost brother was no longer here, letting him have some more alone time.
Changing into a black denim jumpsuit with half sleeves, Marlene would've been happy to know she finally wore this outfit, hoping to see her at least one more time.
Having her out with an elastic on her wrist, Josie had some courage to go downstairs with the rest of the family, the girl sat at the bottom step; close towards five, seeing the family members be listed off one by one.
To her surprise, she never made the list, feeling a little proud of herself to not get caught by the FBI, smiling to herself. "This is terrible." Josie said, trying to be angry just like everyone else.
