Chapter 6

"Come on Meine Liebe (My Love)," Jasper smiled softly, "introduce us to your pony."

She beamed and they followed her down the stairs, "Jack Skellington is really a sweet boy, don't let anyone tell you otherwise."

She walked out into the open and started whistling the familiar tune again. She could feel multiple eyes watching her, but she ignored them and beamed as a black blur came rushing towards her. "Sugar?" Jackson asked taking a step forward then stopped seeing her open her arms.

"Jack!" She beamed as the horse stopped inches from her. She wrapped her arms around him and he pulled her closer to him. "Oh my sweet boy. I want to introduce you to some very important men to me. Can you be nice for me, Jack?" He neighed making her kiss him. "This is Jackson," she said holding her hand out and Jackson slowly walked over to her. "And this is Jasper," she said doing the same thing.

"What the fuck?" Gabe asked as he wiped his face with his shirt while walking over to them. Jack neighed and stood on his hind legs kicking the air towards Gabe. "Fucking beast," he muttered falling on his ass.

"Hey there," She cooed softly standing in front of Jack, "easy Sweet Boy. Good boy," She giggled kissing his nose once he calmed down. "That's my good boy."

"I can see what you mean," Jasper chuckled.

"Well, you have fun with your little pony, Cuore Mio," Jackson chuckled, "we are going to get the room set up for us then get started on transferring everything or what can stay and what can be handled over long distance."

"Thank you," she smiled as Jack knelt down so she could get on his back.

"Don't you need a saddle?" Jasper asked and she shook her head.

"I'm good," she smiled as Jack carefully stood back up. "I may not be back for a few hours."

"Hey," Jasper said looking up at her, "take all the time you need, Meine Liebe. We will still be here when you get back, promise. Spend time with your pony."

She smiled gratefully, "Thank you My Loves."

"We love you," Jackson and Jasper said in unison then watched as Jack nodded at them and took off running making her laugh fill the open air.

Jackson pulled his phone out and started talking to someone as Jasper followed on his phone while they walked back to the house.

"This will be interesting," Luke said as he walked with Gabe back over to the group.

"Very," Nathan nodded. "Come on let's just get our work down."

A couple of hours later Alice and Jack came up to the barn and she slid off him, "come on, let's get you all settled for the night," she said as she started walking along side him.

"He won't go in a stall Ma'am," Justin said coming out of another stall. "He has free reign of wherever he wants to go."

"You mean he roams all night long where predators could attack him?" She gasped. "You don't protect him whatsoever?"

"He won't enter the barn Ma'am," he tried to explain. "He won't listen to anyone."

"Are you telling me all you men are scared of my sweet boy?" She scoffed then shook her head. "Gather all the help and I'll get your bosses, now please."

"Yes Ma'am," he nodded then took off.

She stormed into the house and shouted, "GET YOUR ASSES DOWN HERE NOW YOU FUCKING PRICKS!"

"Uh oh," she heard multiple men mumble as they came out of different rooms.

"What's going on, Sugar?" Jackson asked as he and Jasper came out of her room hanging up their phones. "Everything okay?"

"No everything is not okay," She shook her head, "My baby has been roaming all night long every single night for who knows how long! My baby could have been attacked by mean predators and they are doing nothing to protect him!" She stomped her foot and pointed at the fourteen men and their help who stood there looking ashamed and hurt.

"He won't go in the barn Ma'am," Justin tried to explain again.

"Bullshit!" She stomped her foot again. "Are you seriously telling me all of you grown ass men are scared of one horse? Are you telling me he hasn't seen a vet in all this time as well? Well about his vaccines, getting his teeth floated or what about his shoes?"

"We have to tranq him," Owen admitted. "He's pretty much feral at this point."

"My baby is not a mustang Blackbourne," she glared at him. "You are just a pathetic rancher if you can't tame one horse in order to protect him."

"Hey you can't talk to the boss like that!" one of the helpers shouted stepping towards you. "You don't know shit about what goes on here you stupid bitch! YOU left!"

"Don't you dare talk to me like that!" She shouted back slapping him in the face. "I LEFT because of your bosses! They cheated on me then tried to make it seem like it was no big deal to cheat! You are the one that doesn't know shit! If you want to continue working here, I suggest you keep your mouth shut! They may be your boss but I'm their boss, this is MY family's ranch, and it was MY grandparents that brought those assholes in, so I ultimately have the final say on what goes on here! I may be a bitch but I'm the boss bitch and I'm far from stupid. Test me and find out!"

"Now now Love," Jasper chuckled, "I understand you are mad about your pony not being treated up to your standards, but you have to admit he is stubborn and only listens to you. I'm not siding with them whatsoever I'm just trying to get you to understand that they were probably just caring for him to the best of their ability."

"But Jack could have gotten really hurt," she pouted.

"He seems strong to me Sugar," Jackson chuckled, "I wouldn't be surprised if he would kick the shit out of whatever was stupid enough to try and take him on. He's named after the king after all."

"Fine," She huffed, "I'm going to put him to bed where he will be safe and sound. I'll be back in a bit." She kissed his and Jasper's cheeks then walked out with Jack following right behind her.

"Fucking hell," Gabe sighed shaking his head.

Marc sighed, "I'll get started on dinner."
