"Please open the door Pet," Jackson said as he knocked on the door for the millionth time. A loud thud hit the door making him jump back. "Pet..." He warned.
"You know that isn't going to work," Jasper said from the floor where he was sitting by the door. "Not right now when she is like this."
"Worth a shot," Jackson sighed as he pressed his forehead against the door.
"Meine Liebe I am very sorry," Jasper called out while also typing on his phone.
"Il Mio Cuore I am so very very sorry," Jackson said into the door, "We were wrong for talking to them without you there. Please just open the door, please." He let out a loud sigh when he was met with continuous silence.
"Move out of the way Boys." Jackson turned to see Dr. Roberts standing there. "Go downstairs and wait with the rest of them."
"What?" Jackson asked. "Why?"
"I'm sure you have a pretty good idea of how stubborn Alice is," Dr. Roberts chuckled. "How many days has she given all of you the silent treatment now? Three according to North, she will continue for as long as you are at the door. Go downstairs and let me try to talk with her."
"Fine," Jackson sighed as he pulled Jasper up and they walked away sadly.
"They are gone Little One now open the door for me," Dr. Roberts said sternly. "Come on don't make me have Luke unlock the door for me. You know I will." After what seemed like an eternity he heard the door unlock. He gently turned the knob and sighed in relief when he was able to push the door open. "I have to admit I'm surprised they haven't had Luke unlock it by now."
"They did, why don't you ask them what happened afterwards," she said weakly as she sat back down in the window seat.
"Why don't you tell me?" he asked pulling the chair over to her. "What is going on, Little One? Talk to me." She turned to look at him and he frowned at the emptiness that was in her eyes. "All I know is that North called me worried because you have refused to eat or speak to them in three days now. Alice, talk to me please. I really don't want to have to admit you into the hospital."
"They are making decisions for me and my life without talking to me," she admitted sighing. "They went behind my back and talked about me. How can I trust them if there isn't any open communication?"
"Oh," Dr. Roberts said sighing. "Well, knowing you, this isn't your only source of teaching them a lesson. What did you do?"
"I gathered all of Lucian's candy and once he went to toss some things into the burn pit I held up the bag, dumped it and set it on fire right in front of him," she shrugged turning to look back out the window. "He shouldn't have unlocked my bedroom door." Dr. Roberts burst out laughing, "I also removed all the labels on the spices in the kitchen to fuck with Marc and North, stole Owen's dress shirts that he uses for his video meetings with suppliers and hid them, hid Dakota's bookmarks, stole Yevgeny's knifes, changed Corey and Victor's passwords to something they won't think to use, moved Axel's dream catchers and feathers, rearranged Brandon's tools, removed the labels on Gabriel's things he uses to make the guy's shampoos and body washes, threw Sean's apple pie stash into the burn pit also, rearranged Nathan's work out shit, and hid all of Silas' boat modeling kits. I also kicked Jackson and Jasper out of my room and changed my lock. My next step is to move into the building with Jack."
Dr. Roberts burst out laughing again and shook his head, "Damn that is pretty savage, Little One."
"They shouldn't have pissed me off and talked behind my back. So much for open communication."
"You know they are only trying to get along and be realistic, don't you Little One?" Dr. Roberts asked. "They love you, Alice."
She turned to look at him, "They were making plans about MY life without talking to me. They were talking about combining together one day, as if I could ever trust those boys again."
"Are you seriously telling me you haven't thought about it once?" Dr. Roberts asked seriously. "Or that you don't trust them?" She glared at him and he held his hands up in mock surrender. "All I am saying Alice is that you know they have changed and a small part of you does trust them again and it scares you. It's okay to trust them again, Alice. I'm not saying you have to love them again, but it's okay to move on from the past and it sounds like your new men were just trying to remain realistic when it comes to those boys and how important they are in your life."
"They aren't," she glared at him making him smirk.
"Obviously they are or you would have gotten rid of them years ago and Janie wouldn't have included them in the will. You have to admit she held out hope for you and them if she made the will the way she did. Plus you did let them care for you when your new men weren't able to. All I'm saying is that it's okay to still care about them Alice, your men know you still do and are just trying to figure out what happens now. They probably just wanted to come to an agreement before talking to you about the future and all of them."
"They still should have talked to me about MY life," She said turning back to the window.
"Yes they should have," Dr. Roberts agreed. "They were idiots but they are idiots that care about you."
"Still idiots," she mumbled. "Tired now Doc."
"I'm not surprised, I suspect this is the most talking you've done in a while," he nodded. "How about I go make you a small snack and see if that helps?"
She shook her head, "Not hungry."
"You really shouldn't punish yourself just to punish them, Little One," he said softly. "Just take three bites, please?" She looked at him and he smirked, "I promise it's going to still be punishing them because you know it will drive them crazy that it's such a small amount and," he leaned forward to whisper loudly, "it's going to piss them off that you listened to me and not them."
She smiled, "okay."
