"So interesting news," Jasper said as he came into the hospital room with a bag of M&M's for Alice.

"What's that?" A few of the men asked.

"It seems that Mr. Andrew Eugene Trommer is a part time soldier," he said holding up a file.

"What the fuck is a part time soldier?" Gabe asked confused.

"They are the group of humans that only take training on weekends and only do the bare minimum of what they are supposed to do and even then they do it half assed. They are in the military to say they are soldiers, they don't have the pride or will to be what it actually takes to represent this country," Jasper seethed. "And he already has reports of misconduct on his record."

"Interesting," Jackson smirked as he held Alice's hand in his while she slept. "So what does the military police have to say about this latest incident?"

"I know one thing for sure," Sean said as he came into the room. "He is under constant supervision. There are two MPs standing outside of his room and a miliary doctor is taking a look at him while muttering under his breath. I have a feeling he knows about Mr. Trommer's conduct because while I don't have hearing like North's, I'm pretty sure I heard a few of Gabe's favorite words."

"Probably," Jasper nodded as he glanced at the file. "There's numerous comments about having problems with higher ranks, fights ensuing after having to redo tasks, reports of making female soldiers uncomfortable, numerous comments and actions that support his view on misogyny, and well, you can get the jist of it," he sighed as he shut the folder rolling his eyes.

"How is she Doc?" Jackson asked not liking how still she was. Even in her sleep she moved every so often, shifting from one side to another or in some way to make sure she got the comfort and protection she sought from them. Now she was laying on her stomach but she wasn't holding his hand under her cheek or pressing her face into his side like she normally would with him or Jasper. He didn't like this, he wanted his girl back like she normally is.

"She will be okay," Sean said looking at the machines. "The medicine I gave her so I could restitch her back as well as look at her knee without her going into a panic attack will be wearing off in the next hour give or take a few moments."

"What exactly happened with her knee?" Jasper asked. "All she told us was that a horse threw her off it and the fall did a lot of damage to her knee."

"That's true," Axel nodded. "She was working with a new horse that her grandparents got. She was riding it out in the woods since he tended to do better alone than being with the other horses. Anyway, she was riding it and by the time her grandmother called everyone in for dinner we realized she hadn't come home yet and neither had the horse. We began searching and Luke was the one to find her."

"What happened?" Jackson asked.

Luke cleared his throat as he started pacing. "She was laying on the ground with the horse on top of her. Neither one of them was moving. Her skin was so cold."

"Fuck," Jasper whispered.

"From what we could gather after we rushed her to the hospital and got her stable, a snake slithered by and spooked the horse. She tried to calm it down but it ended up throwing her off him. She flew into the air and hit a tree with a lot of force, making her head bounce as she fell," Sean took over, "I had to pull bark out of open wounds in her scalp."

"The horse fell on her and pinned her down as it thrashed about because when it was panicking it injured it legs. It tried killing the snake but the snake ended up biting it and ultimately killing the horse. It died on Alice and with its weight she couldn't move from under it. She passed out from the pain of her head injuries and the horse breaking her leg and fracturing her knee as well as tearing her muscles. She also sprained her wrist and had bruises all over her body trying to protect herself," Axel said sadly.

"She looked like fucking hell," Gabe shook his head. "She was barely breathing."

"She never blamed the horse though," Kota smirked. "She insisted on burying it in the family animal cemetery, saying it was trying to protect her from the snake and it wasn't his fault he accidentally hurt her. Despite all her injuries and pain, she never once blamed that horse."

"Sounds like her," Jackson smirked. "Our little animal whisperer."

There was a knock on the door and everyone turned to look as a soldier walked into the room. Jasper immediately noticed the MP patches and rankings. He stood straight up, "Staff Sergeant Sir."

"At ease," he said as he walked into the room. "How is your wife doing?"

"She's healing Sir," Jasper said emotionally. "Her doctor said she will be waking in an hour Sir."

"And Private Trommer has been harassing her and caused this?"

"Yes Sir," Jasper confirmed. "She has had numerous problems with him Sir regarding his threats to her and her horses Sir. She finally had enough and fired him but he refused to listen. Her horse tried to protect her from his assaults as best as he could until we could reach her after hearing her screams."

"Once he is out of a medically induced coma and is discharged, he will be tried for attempted murder and anything else we can pin on him. He will also be dishonorably discharged, just so you know."

"Thank you, Sir," Jasper nodded.

"I'll keep you notified as it progresses," the police officer said as he saluted Jasper then left.

"Damn," Gabe whistled low once the door shut. "Guess North and Raven won't get to have any fun with him once the military is done with him."

North and Raven chuckled before North said, "We can still find a way."
