I got an absolutely stunning dress, it fit like a glove. An ankle-length dark green dress, the top was corset like, it was strapless, and it had a huge slit, revealing my tan shaved leg. I applied light make-up and did a low pony-tail, When I walked out of my room and Rose saw me, her jaw dropped
"Mommy, you're like- you're like a princess!" I picked her up into my arms and kissed her cute little face, she giggled before she squirmed out of my arms and handed me my small matching purse.
It was a change for a start. To work, I always used suits, I would only wear dresses for fancy events and whatnot. "Thank you, baby" I smiled at her, then, the bell rang. I was not expecting anyone. I told Rose to go to her room, I grabbed the gun that was safely locked away and peeked through the peep-hole, it was just my best friend, Kiara. I groaned and opened the door.
"Holy fuck, Olivia" she looked me up and down, I attached my gun to my thigh holster, when I was little, my dad taught me how to use a gun, my mom hated it, but I loved it. Now, I carry it around for my own protection. Yes, I have bodyguards and all, but you never know.
"What?" I groaned as I moved to the side, letting her walk in, "You're drop dead gorgeous, girl. I'd totally bang you if I were a dude" she winked, I sighed. "Is it too much?" I asked, Ki shook her head vigorously.
"Absolutely not. You're gonna be the center of attention tonight" she said before closing the door. "Rose you can come out now!" I yelled so Rose could hear me.
She looked around skeptically, until she saw who it was. Her eyes lit up and she ran to hug Kiara, Kiara hugged her and stroked her hair, I smiled at the sight.
"Your dad called me because he is sick, he didn't want to stress you out and asked if I could watch Rose since you have this gala thingy" she explained before putting my daughter down. "Makes sense" I shrugged before reaching under my dress and pulling the safety on. Kiara sighed.
"Olivia, it's been four years and you have a shit ton of bodyguards. You're safe."
"No cursing around Rose, Kiara" I warned, dead serious. "What does 'shit' mean mommy?" My heart dropped.
"It's a bad word, baby. Don't say it." I explained, I'm going to kill Kiara. "But aunty Kiara said it" she shot back, not understanding why she couldn't say the word. "And that was bad of her, okay? You can't say that word" I explained, she nodded skeptically.
I turned to Kiara, who was holding back a snicker, 'I'm gonna end you'.
"Oh look at that, it's time for you to get going" Kiara pointed at an imaginary watch on her wrist. "Mhm. Remember that her bedtime is at nine and-" I wanted to continue, but Ki said the words I was about to say "Make sure that you lock all the doors, food is in the oven. Don't give her junk food. Relax, Oli. I got this. Enjoy your gala with Mr. Handsome"
I widened my eyes and smacked her arm. "Maria told me all about him. Get some action" she whispered. "Don't talk about sex with my kid present" I whispered to her ear, Rose watched us intently. "Fine. Go" Kiara shooed me out of my apartment. "Let me say bye to my daughter, you monster" I snarked jokingly. she let me go through. I hugged my daughter and pressed a kiss to her temple, "be a good girl with your aunty, okay?" I stroked her cheek
"Okay" she said. When I stood up and walked over to the door, Rosie yelled out for me. "I love you mommy! Have fun being a princess!" I chuckled, "I love you too, baby" I yelled before closing the door behind me. I heard a lock being locked, I sighed in relief.

I walked out of the car, the place where this gala was being hosted at resembled a palace. I walked in. I saw the old, bald, fat man who hosted the gala and walked over to him, his eyes scanned me up and down, a disgusting smirk formed on his face.
