Beep beep beep.

I slowly opened my eyes, the higher part of my injured leg was bandaged, the cast was a new one.

I think that the doctors changed it because of how much the blood dirtied it.

I flutter my eyes open, the light is blinding. Nothing compared to the darkness that engulfed me mere seconds ago.

Beep beep beep.

I turn my head to my left, an empty large dark red couch, a big bathroom and a big window which let the sun illuminate the room. My hospital room is all white and cozy. I turn my head to my right, my dad is asleep on a chair next to me holding my hand tightly, his head is rested against it. There is a long window covered by blinds that show the inside of the hospital.

"Am I dead?" I ask groggily, my father looks at me with wide eyes, amazed that I've actually woken up.

I can't blame him, I was surprised, too.

"No, cupcake. You're very much alive" he stands up slowly and kisses my forehead, wiping a tear of his away.

Beep beep beep.

"Can you turn that off?" I question, annoyed.

He chuckles, I turn my head to my other side, I'm confused when Marko is not here, he was just here a minute ago. He talked to me I think.

He said something along the lines of "what are you doing to me, Olivia?"

I'm sure it was just a dream. It was just a dream.

"Where is Rose?" I blurted out, was she safe?

"She's fine, cupcake. You did everything right. What you did, Sacrificing yourself for your daughter? that's a real mother."

"Can you bring her in?" I asked, "She went home with Agnes, I'll call her right now" he stood up to leave and whipped his phone out, I turned back to look at the ceiling.

Beep beep beep.

"Olivia, I don't know what's going on with that Anderson boy. But just so you know, he's in the waiting room, asking to see you. He didn't bat an eye all night, I told him to go home and he refused. Kiara, Amelia, Maria and uhm... Rowan's- friends are here, they all stayed overnight for you. Would you like me to call any of them in?"

I honestly did not know what to say.

Beep beep beep.

I mean, I wanted to see my friends and the guys, but for some reason I also wanted to see Anderson. I tried to make the words come out, I just wanted to see him to thank him for saving my life right? Right.

Beep beep beep.

When I opened my mouth, I stuttered and my throat went dry.

"Would you like me to choose who'll come in first?" he asked, sensing my worries. I could not mutter a word, so I simply nodded. He shot me a reassuring look and walked away, he started to dial Agnes.

Beep beep beep.

Beep beep beep.

That's it.

What I did then was probably stupid, but I didn't give a flying fuck.

My mom was a surgeon, she always brought me to work with her, so I knew exactly which cable was attached to the heart monitor.

beep fucking beep.

I've had had enough, so I simply took the wire out that was on my chest, the wire that was connected to the heart monitor machine.
