Marko Anderson's POV
-
I furiously went back inside and slammed the door shut, "FUCK" I yelled to the top of my lungs, Madison came rushing down the stairs "what's wrong, baby? Is that girl gone?" she asked with puppy eyes and a pout. She was fully dressed now and I wanted to throw her across the room.
"Out" I spat, "what?" she was taken aback. "Get the fuck out of my house!" I yelled with all my power, she stumbled back. "Out! Now!" I threw the door open and pointed at it, she ran towards it with tears rolling down. After she left I slammed the door shut. I screamed as much as I could
I grabbed the first thing I saw; a glass. I smashed it against the floor, and it felt good.
So I grabbed a plate and smashed it, all while yelling to the top of my lungs.
Olivia looked so heartbroken, so... hurt. I thought that after what Jackson told her she definitely didn't want to see me anymore, so I tried fucking another woman to see if that would satisfy my need for her. Spoiler alert; it didn't.
The whole time I was thinking of her, how I wished that it was her. And when I saw the look on her face, I wanted to kill myself for making her feel like that. All I saw was red, I wanted to pull my hair out.
Why did she come here?
There is no doubt that after now, she for sure won't want anything to do with me. I've never felt as alone as that time when she ghosted me, and I guess that I'll feel it again. However, this time? It'll be permanently.
When I was done, the whole house was a mess. I was panting heavily, I let myself fall to the floor. Whatever we had I threw it out the window, she seemed so excited and happy. I took that away. I took her happiness away.
Me, not a stupid man at the bar. Me, not an angry parent. Me, not an issue at work.
This time it was all me, there was no one else to blame. I made her feel what I so desperately tried to protect her from.
I think that I wrecked the whole house for an hour, I'm not sure.
The door was slammed open, just when I wiped my face I realized that I had been crying. Kiara and Amelia were standing at the door, with a bat on their hands. Great.
As soon as they saw the state of the house, they dropped the bat and their attention was focused on me. "What the fuck happened, Marko?" Kiara asked, panting. "None of your business, get out of my house" I poured myself a glass of expensive whiskey, I swirled it around the glass before taking a drink.
"It is our business when Olivia called me desperate, not able to talk. I found her a block away from here passed out in her car. So I'll ask again, what the fuck happened" Kiara rose her tone and approached me.
I'm not usually scared of women, but I was scared shitless despite the fact that I could snap her in two if I wanted to.
"Careful with the glass" Amelia called out with a sigh, she took her time to avoid getting hurt by shards of glass. "You're lucky that I didn't call her dad, he'd torture you" Kiara pointed a finger towards my face, almost touching it.
Olivia's father was a well-built man. He was bald and had huge muscles, the type of guy you'd run away from unless you got to know him. By how Olivia and Richard, her father, loved each other, I could tell that she was dead-serious.
"What do you want me to tell you that she hasn't told you already, huh?" I spat. "You dipshit, she didn't tell us nothing. She's still passed out." Kiara pushed me back and I stumbled a bit.
"Marko did you... did you hurt her?" Amelia asked, fear dripping from her words. My heart tightened at the thought of touching a single golden blonde hair on that precious head of her.
"I may be capable of a lot, but I'd never hurt Olivia. Remember that guy at the bar?"
"Guess what? You did, asshole. So tell us what happened" Amelia demanded as she stepped in next to her friend. I sighed, I knew that there was no way out of it and I told them the whole truth, without leaving any minor detail out.
Of course that I wasn't explicit with the... activity... that Olivia found me doing.
Kiara scoffed after a few minutes went by, "You wanna know why she came here?" venom laced her words, Amelia was just shocked. I rose a brow, wanting her to keep talking.
"To tell you how she felt, that she wanted to follow her heart and that she couldn't deny it anymore."
My heart shattered to a million pieces, a thousand more than the broken pieces of glass on the floor.
I took a few steps back and fell into a random chair, "No..." I mumbled to myself, Kiara heard it. "Yes, Marko" she shot back almost immediately. Amelia stared at me with pity in her eyes.
"I'm an idiot" I chuckled and then stood up. "I'm a fucking idiot"
"That we can agree on" Kiara chuckled and shook her head. I ignored her comment and thought for a second before speaking
"Can I tell you girls something?" I muttered. "What?" Kiara groaned, annoyed. Amelia was about to step in but I spoke up before she could. "Ever since I met Olivia, I can not imagine my life without her" I chuckled
They were both shocked, but I wasn't planning on stopping what I've kept inside for an incredible amount of time. "Without her vanilla scent, without her annoying eye-rolls, without her addictive laugh, without her caring self, without her stubborn self" I chuckled at the last bit.
"Marko-" Amelia started, I couldn't give two fucks about what she wanted to say. "I can not explain it, everything single, little, silly thing makes Olivia, Olivia. She's so perfect and so... real. Not only on the outside 'cause god bless me that girl was gifted by Aphrodite, but... even that, her greek myths." I chuckled at the mention of those damn myths that she loves so dearly, but I wouldn't change it. They light her face up every time, I could watch her tell me one of those for hours and hours on end and still ask for one more when she finishes, just like a little kid begging for another bedtime story.
"I find everything about her, even what people might find annoying, absolutely majestic." That was the best way to fit my feelings into words. "That woman she... she is doing something to me. I'm kinda scared about what that is, but I don't want her to leave. I could never want her to leave. Screw the others, I can't lose Olivia"
I was determined, whatever I had to do to be able to call her mine, I would do it. No matter what it was.
"Then you better make it right, and fast." Amelia stepped in, "she's not gonna be so forgiving this time" Kiara said.
