❝Klaus Mikaelson was the monster one would tell their children, he's the villain in everyone's stories, but for me he was the prince who saved me from myself and I think I saved the last bit of hope within him.❞

Bodie and Henry had been in Mystic Falls for the past two—maybe three months—and Henry really wished that they would just leave already. The pair of them only made their way to Mystic Falls because of the rumours that Klaus was in town—of course, they got their sources from other vampires within Klaus' close circle about it, so they thought it best to make their way over there. Though they were too little too late, Klaus was gone, Elijah was nowhere to be seen, and yet Bodie had the bright idea to stay, which really pissed him off.
Though, being dragged into Mystic Falls was one thing, being made to befriend a girl called Elena Gilbert was another. Bodie told him that she looked like someone from his past—a doppelganger, though the one thing that didn't make sense was the fact that she was still alive. To be honest, Henry wasn't paying that much attention, in fact, he was pissed over the fact that Bodie forced him to go to school and enrolled. If Henry could, he would've beat the living shit out of Bodie if Henry knew that he could beat Bodie without cheating.
He wondered if there was a chance that he could bail on anything and everything going on. He hated the fact Bodie convinced him to enrol into the High School—he thought that he didn't need to get an education when his life consisted of moving around because of Bodie. God, these past 41 years has been hell.
Throughout those painful forty-one years, they thought that both the Mikaelson's and his brother—Will—would come after them, but when they didn't, they thought that they could relax. But then, they received a letter that appeared from nowhere written by William that it was best that they found somewhere else to stay if they were in Maine given that Klaus and Elijah were planning to move there. Of course, that was the only time that they ever had contact with Will—until, he got into contact with them once more to inform them both that Klaus was in Mystic Falls and that he was about to level the playing field between himself and Bodie.
Which leads to them being here now where they just missed the three, which Henry was surprisingly happy about the most. He really didn't want to run into his brother as a whole, knowing that he basically betrayed his brother, but he was grateful that Will was still alive. It felt weird to know that he was no longer by Will's side that and the fact that this has been the longest time that they've been apart.
Even still, he was grateful to be able to do things himself without worrying that his brother would be breathing down his neck about misusing his magic. At least with Bodie, it was a lot nicer—if he chose to ignore the fact that Bodie forced him to go to school—or, well, enrol. Though, the only good thing about this was the fact that Bodie didn't seem to care all that much about blood, Bodie didn't care about whether or not he stole people from the streets or blood bags.
Of course, Henry knew to be discreet around Elena and the others, though it wasn't hard to sniff out who was a vampire and who wasn't. Though, Henry wasn't sure if it was because Will made him learn or not.
