『Chapter Forty-Seven』
『an overthinking hybrid』⋅⋆✯✼⋆⋅
As much as Bodie knew that there was a chance that he was overthinking everything, but there was a small part of him which couldn't help himself. He knew that there was no use of him wasting his time to overthink but given everything that was going on, he found himself overthinking anyway. All that he felt as if he could do was overthink. He knew that Klaus and Rebekah and the rest of the Mikaelson's would want to kill him, but the last thing that he would expect was for Klaus to even consider to use the cure on him just so that he could kill him.
Of course, he knew that there was a chance that Rebekah only said that to get Bodie to overthink about it, but the look that was on Klaus' face when she mentioned it was enough for Bodie to know that it was something that he couldn't ignore. He would've thought that Klaus would want Elena to have the cure so that he could continue to grow his hybrid army, but he'd never took into consideration that Klaus might want to use it on him.
Bodie couldn't help but feel as if there was some form of pain receding into him at the thought. As much as he knew that this was the worst thing that's happened between all of them, he still thought that there was a chance that Klaus wouldn't try and go lower. He supposed that he was too blinded over the amount of times that Klaus let him off easy that he assumed that there was a chance that Klaus would let him off easy this time.
Of course, he was aware of the amount of times that Klaus and Rebekah had jumped him and made him bleed because of what he done. He kept repeating the amount of times that Klaus and Rebekah insulted him about what he'd done and what they want to do to him, and yet Bodie and his blissful ignorance told him that he needed to be patient in hopes that they might welcome him back with open arms.
Now that he thought about it, the more that he realised that he was just stupid as a whole. He knew that there was no chance that any of the Mikaelson's would forgive him at all for what he did, and no matter how much Bodie wished that they would, he knew that it was very unlikely as anything else. Bodie knew that the last thing that the Mikaelson's would ever do is accept Bodie's apology or accept him showing them his perspective on everything.
As much as Bodie hoped that there was a chance that he could do something that could change everything, he knew that it was something that wouldn't happen. There was a small part of Bodie that somewhat wished that Elijah was here, he knew that Elijah would want to get back at him for what he did but considering that Elijah was more level-headed out of all of the Mikaelson's, Bodie felt as if Elijah would let him explain himself.
And yet, no matter what, Bodie found himself wondering whether or not Klaus would go through with the entire idea of turning him back to something easier to beat. As much as he knew that there were moments in his immortal life that he wished that he could join his family on the Other Side, the last thing that he would actually want to do is die. This was something that he didn't want to happen, of course he knew that there was a chance that Rebekah might've been lying to get him to overthink all of it, and it was working.
