Chapter 25: To Ba Sing Se Part 2

Chloe's P.O.V.

Upon walking to the wall of Ba Sing Se, we were stopped by Aang who came back with no Appa. When we asked him about it, he said Appa would have to wait and proceeded to show us why by taking each of us up onto the outer wall. The Fire Nation has a drill trying to break through to the wall of the city. Our group wasn't gonna stand for it, but the general of the soilders that guard the outer wall told us they didn't need any help. That is until someone came and attacked the soilders from behind. We were now each standing in the infirmary room as Katara tried to heal one of the soilders.

"What's wrong with him? He doesn't look injured," the general asked us curiously.

"His chi is blocked," Katara told the general.

"Who did this to you?" She asked the soilder.

"Two girls ambushed us. One of them hit me with a bunch of quick jabs and suddenly, I couldn't earthbend, and I could barely move and then she cartwheeled away," he answered her.

Katara thought for a moment.

"Ty Lee. She doesn't look dangerous, but she knows the human body and its weak points. It's like she takes you down from the inside," Katara spoke up softly.

"Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh!-"

"Oop, that's my boyfriends thinkin' face, whatcha got Sokka?" I asked him curiously.

"What Katara just said, that's how we're gonna take down the drill. The same way Ty Lee took down all these big earthbenders,-"

"By hitting its pressure points!" Toph exclaimed.

We stepped over to the window looking at the drill.

"We'll take it down from the inside," Aang spoke sternly.

We were outside waiting to move forward towards the drill.

"Once I whip up some cover, you're not gonna be able to see, so stay close to me," Toph told us sternly.

Toph jumped up making a huge dust cloud from the earth, that followed all the way to the drill.

"Run!"

We followed her inside quickly. Once we reached the side of the drill, Toph made a hole in the ground.

"Everyone into the hole!" She commanded.

After jumping down into the hole, Toph closed the opening.

"It's so dark down here, I can't see a thing," Sokka complained.

"Oh no, what a nightmare," Toph spoke up sarcastically.

"Sorry," Sokka said to her.

"Nice one Sokka," I told him.

We came out underneath the drill.

"There," Sokka exclaimed as he pointed to an opening.

Aang hung himself upside down from the bar, helping all of us in. All of us except Toph, Jami and Aidan.

"Toph, come on," Sokka said to her poking his head back out.

"No way am I going in that metal monster.  I can't bend in there. I'll try to slow it down out here," Toph said to us.

"Jami, what about you?" I asked her also poking my head out.

"We're gonna give Toph some cover, you guys go on," Jami responded quickly.

I nodded to her and the rest of us took off inside the drill.

After we had been working on cutting part way through several of the braces, we were found by Azula, Mai and Ty Lee.
