Chapter 3 Birds

As we walked towards the house Lilly and I shared the same look of unease, cats and dogs have never gotten along well something about our anscetors big rival. We arrived and Justin turned and looked at us, "Shift." he said simply. I looked at Lilly and she looked at me I sighed heavily, "turn around." I said simply.

"Why?" He asked.

"Because when cats shift we're naked so turn around." Lilly said baring her teeth. "Oh why didn't you say so come on you can change inside." Justin said shifting unlike cats dogs have clothes when they shift, he was handsome, he had blond hair and brown eyes, he was on the taller side. He smirked knowing I was checking him out. "I have a mate thank you I snapped changing in to a Siamese cat Lilly changed in to Persian, we had an inside joke between us about our house cat forms when we looked at each other we burst out laughing, Justin looked at us, "inside joke." We said together. He rolled his eyes an we went inside. We walked into the bathroom and Justin tossed in our bags I totally forgot about them I was amazed he remembered. Once we shifted we slipped on our dresses we had for things like this, mine was a black dress with white and pink flowers and Lilly's was white with black vines along the bottom. We quickly brushed our hair and dusted eye shadow on. We slipped on our flats and waked out. Justin did a double take looking at us surprised. "My father will see you now," he said flipping around.

He pushed the door open and a man stood he had light brown hair with gray at the temple and his eyes were a deep gold and his skin was a dark tan you could see the muscles bulging under his tight dark green shirt, "Princess," he said simply.

" johtaja." I replied Lilly tensed by my side not liking the way he talked to me.

"Don't talk to the queen that way." She snapped.

"Queen?" Justin asked walking beside his father.

i sighed my heart feeling heavy, "hunters attacked the palace, they killed my parents, I'm the last heir to the throne." I said my shoulders hunching. My mother said never let them know your weak and hurting. Lilly looked at me and signed knowing she couldn't comfort me in front of the johtaja. "That's very sad but what does that have to do with my people?"

I growled bearing my elongated canines, "do you think they'll stop with my species? They'll come for your mutts just like they came for my people now hundred of my felines just died and all for what? Pelts and our claws." Hunters hunt shifters for certain things, felines are hunted for our claws, canines for their fangs, birds for there feathers and claws, and all shifters for their pelts shifter fur is the softest fun on the planet and any who has the money will pay a pretty penny for the pelt. "My people are safe, and you will do well to remember who's presence your in." The johtaja snarled.

"And you will do well to remember that I am just as high as you are and I can take you any day." I snarled feeling my claws pricking against my skin. "Get out! My people will not risk themselves for a bunch of stuck up cats!" The johtaja snarled the room trembled with the power from his voice Lilly and Justin bowed their heads but my back straightened and I gave a yowl in reply flipping around and storming out of the room. Lilly trotted after me I stormed down the hall scooping up my backpack I stomped down the hall and into the forest I stripped down and let the shift take over I yowled out and looked at Lilly she looked back and we began to run we we almost out of the canines territory that was when we heard a noise. I looked at Lilly and she nodded she shifted her Persian and shot up a tree I continued running and I heard Lilly's yowl as she shifted and she jumped down she landed on the creature in cougar form. I heard a yelp and I skidded to a stop and flipped around. "Okay okay I give!" A familiar voice said.

"Justin?!" Lilly exclaimed jumping off him shifting back into her tiger form

"What are you doing here?" I asked standing my fur rising on my back.

"I'm here to help you, I don't think it's right what my father said and I want to help." he said standing and shak;ing the dirt from his fur. I sighed heavily.

"Fine then, don't slow us down and DON'T get in the way." I snapped I turned around and began running again. I heard Lilly come in step with me we looked behind us to see a dumb founded Justin, "You coming puppy dog?" Lilly asked laughing he snapped out of his stupior and ran after us Our laugher rang out behind us.

*Six Hours Later*

We heard the screech of an eagle, suddenly a large harpy egale landed in front of us.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" she asked her eyes narrowing meniceingly.

"My name is Sapphire, this is Lilly and this is Justin." I said nodding my head in their direction.

"My name is Muse, wait Sapphire, aren't you the princess of the felines?" She asked looking at me up and down.

"Actually queen now, my parents were muredered by the hunters." I said sadly.

She hissed, "They've finally suceeded then." she said to herself.

"What do you mean?" Lilly asked couriously.

"Come with me, we must speak with my Uncle, the Glavni." she spread her wings and flapped them hard, she took off and we began to follow after her runnign hard and fast. It took us half an hour to reach their center, it was a beautiful victornan style house, it had four stories and it looked like something out of every girls dream. when we stopped Muse landed shifting into her human self before her feet hit the ground she was wearing a dress that had grey feathers stiched into it, she had jaw lenght dirty blonde hair, it had a white streak running through it, her eyes were a pericing grey, she was staring at us expectenly, Justin shifted into his human self and Lilly and I shifted into our house cat forms. Justin scooped up our bags and slung them over his shoulder and then scooped us up in his arms, Muse raised her eyebrow and he just shrugged carrying us into the house, Muse lead us to a bathroom and Justin set us down on the ground along with his bags and then shut the door. We quickly shifted and slipped on our clothes. When we walked out a man was standing there, he had pich black hair, bright green eyes, strong bulid and a tan complexion, "Hello I am Jackson, the oracal said you'd be coming."

Hey guys I'm soo sorry I haven' t posted in a long time, It's just someone really dear to me died and I've been taking it really hard so I lost insperation to write but now I have it back so I'll try updating all my stories this week. and as an apoligoy I made this chapter long!
