She was exhausted and lonely.
But she couldn't recharge, no matter how hard she tried.

Chromia was curled up in a ball on her berth, crying softly before she got a comm.
{Chromia it's time for your shift, feel up to it?} the voice of a mech chimed into her audio receptors. {Yep I'm fine! I'll be out in a nano-klik! } she replied with a half hearted laugh as she scrambled out of the berth admittedly to large for her. Stretching she popped some things back in place before sulking out the door and glaring at any mech who dared look at her wrong, walking to the main hanger she saw her patrol partner was Ironhide. Said mech was already waiting, cleaning out his cannons she found herself idling and staring at the mech. She huffed and walked over, using small talk before the two headed out. "Alright spill, why ya so edgy lately?" Ironhide said over the comm as they drove down the road. Chromia hesitated for a moment, unsure if she wanted to open up about her feelings. But something in Ironhide's tone made her feel like she could trust him, so she took a deep breath and began to speak. "I don't know," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I just feel...lonely, I guess." Ironhide nodded sympathetically. "I know how that feels," he said. "Being an Autobot can be a lonely existence sometimes. But you're not alone, Chromia. You have your fellow 'bots, and you have me." Chromia smiled weakly, feeling a bit better already. "Thanks, Ironhide," she said. "That means a lot to me." The two mechs continued on their patrol, chatting and exchanging stories as they went. Chromia still felt a bit down, but she was grateful for the company and the distraction. As they drove back to the base, Ironhide turned to her and said, "You know, if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here for you. And if you ever need a friend, I'm here for that too." Chromia felt her spark swell with gratitude as she looked at the older mech. "Thanks, Ironhide," she said. "I really appreciate it." The two mechs parted ways, but Chromia felt a new sense of comfort and belonging. She knew that being an Autobot could be tough, but with friends like Ironhide by her side, she felt like she could handle anything that came her way.
