Drift panted as he ran through the halls desperately trying to find Optimus before he tried anything, they had fought earlier and Drift had some something he deeply regretted. Optimus had fallen silent after and left picking up a knife on the way out though Drift didnt notice until he heard Ratchet comm him that Optimus had disappeared.

Drift's spark raced with worry as he searched for Optimus. He knew he had hurt his friend deeply with his words, and he couldn't bear the thought of what Optimus might do to himself. He had to find him before it was too late.

As he ran, Drift's mind raced with thoughts of what he would say to Optimus when he found him. He knew he had to apologize, to make things right between them. He couldn't let their friendship be destroyed by his foolish words.

Finally, he spotted Optimus in a secluded corner of the ship, his back turned to Drift. Drift approached him slowly, not wanting to startle him. "Optimus...I'm sorry. I didn't mean what I said. I was angry and I lashed out. Please, forgive me." he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Optimus didn't respond, his body tense and still. Drift took a few steps closer, reaching out to touch his friend's shoulder. "Optimus, please. Talk to me." he pleaded, feeling a lump form in his throat.

Optimus turned to face him, his optics dimmed with sadness. "Drift...I don't know if I can forgive you. You hurt me deeply with your words." he said, his voice heavy with emotion.

Drift's spark sunk, and he felt tears prick at the corners of his optics. "I know, and I'm sorry. I don't expect you to forgive me right away, but please don't shut me out. I need you, Optimus. You're my friend, my brother." he said, his voice trembling.

Optimus looked at him for a moment, his expression unreadable. Finally, he let out a sigh and reached out to pull Drift into a hug. "I forgive you, Drift. But you have to promise me that you won't say things like that again. Our friendship is too important to let something like this tear us apart." he said, holding onto Drift tightly.

Drift nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over him. "I promise, Optimus. I won't let my anger get the best of me again. Thank you for forgiving me." he said, hugging his friend back.

Optimus smiled and pulled away, looking at Drift with warmth in his optics. "Thank you for apologizing, Drift. It takes a lot of courage to admit when you're wrong. I'm proud of you." he said, placing a hand on Drift's shoulder.

Drift felt his spark swell with gratitude, and he knew that their friendship was stronger than ever. He vowed to never take it for granted again.
