Michaels POV

The next morning everyone was hungover except me and Tess so we decided to go out for the day to catch up on things. Since Clary and Brendon slept round mine last night we didn't have to worry about the boys as they're quite responsible. Well thats what Tess said.

As we arrived at the pizza place, i remembered about Marshal. I instantly felt stupid bringing us here so I stopped in my tracks and turned to Tess. She paused to open the restaurant door but I stopped her, grabbing her arm to spin her around.

"what about marshal?" I asked her but she just shook her head and bit her lip. Her face lightened as she remembered something.

"he doesn't work today, only weekends like me"
I let out the breath I was holding in relief and let Tess open the door. I walked in after Tess as one of her work mates come over to show us to our table, which was by the window. She gave us the menu and left me and Tess alone to order.

"What pizza do you want?" she asked as I scrolled my eyes down the menu, looking for the pizza I wanted. Pizza is a craving I get as its a symptom of being a vampire. It may seem stupid but I think it a good thing.

"I think ill have BBQ chicken" I said as Tess agreed, saying she was going to have the same as me. A few minutes later, a man came over with a smug look on his face.

"Michael, help me" Tess whispered and I knew what she was on about.
"I thought id see you here" Marshal said as he smirked, grabbing a chair and dragging it to the end of the table. As he sat down, I looked at Tess who had a worried look on her face. When Marshal wasn't looking, I lent over and whispered in Tessie's ear.
"Don't worry, ill sort it"

As I quickly lent back, Marshal started to talk which I knew he would regret.
"Now, lets talk" he sternly said as he snatched the menu that I was holding and threw it on the floor. I gave him an evil look but dropped it as Tess kicked me as a sign not to. She knew him better than I did so I had to listen to her or I would get my ass kicked.

"Michael, I told you to stay away" He half yelled.

"I shouldn't have to" I yelled back but dropped my voice as I realised people were looking. Tess looked at me, then outside so I knew how to handle it.

"how about we take this outside" I confidently said as he shrugged and stood up to leave. We all followed him outside to the car park where it was empty.
"Okay, as I was saying, stay away from Tess like I told you"

"No, I shouldn't have to. Shes not yours so you can back off"

"Shes not yours either" He smartly said but carried on "Speaking of tess, shes very quiet"
We both looked at Tess who had a worried look on her face.

"leave her out of this" I said as Marshal stepped closer to her.
"What do you think? Huh" He said in an intimidating voice but she just stood there, not knowing what to do. I stepped closer to them as I went to block Marshal from hurting her but I was too late. Before I could do anything, he quickly grabbed the top of her neck and lent in, whispering something in her ear.

"Let go of her" I shouted as I grabbed him from behind, making him let go of Tess.
"You shouldn't have done that" He sternly said, giving me an evil look and I knew something bad was going to happen. Before anything back could happen, I shouted for Tess to get the others, in which she nodded and ran off to my car. From the corner of my eye I could see her speeding off but didn't notice the pain in my neck.

I saw the smug look on Marshals face as he stepped back, showing me his fangs and the blood that he had around his mouth. I knew he had bitten me but he didn't know I was already a vampire. I just laughed and wiped the blood from my neck. Marshal looked at me confused as to why I was laughing but I ignored him and spoke up.

"There's a lot of things you don't know about me" I laughed as I let my fangs show.

Sorry I haven't updated, I have had exams and I had no time to write anything so its a bit short.

Next chapter will be better.
