Secret in the Heart ||Descendants|| (♡Ben)

I fly up high into the air and fire a fireball at Uma. She darts back and the ball hits the water and extinguishes immediately. Uma yells as she swings a tentacle at me. I dart to the right, just nearly avoiding it. "Come on, Kara! Let's finish this once and for all." Uma screams. I don't want this. I don't want to hurt Uma. I try to do something. Anything at all, but I have no control over my body whatsoever. "No!" I scream in as a last effort to take back control. "Ow come on, don't be such a baby." my other self says back to me. "Stop it!" I snap. She laughs. "Uma started this all. She was going to hurt your friends. Everyone you love. She deserves this. She needs to be taught a lesson and we are going to be the one who does that." she says. "No! I don't want this." I say. "Of course you do." she says. "Please stop." I plead. She laughs evilly. "You're pathetic. You're weak. You don't seriously think that evil and good can live together, do you? Give up this stupid dream and work with me to defeat Uma." she says. "No." I say. "Ugh, fine. Let me do all the work then." she says. Before I can say anything else I let out a roar and fly down towards Uma as I let out a big breath of fire. Fortunately, at that same moment, Uma moves a bit to her right so my breath of fire misses her. I fly around to face Uma again and she swings one of her tentacles at me. I have a short time to react and I just dart out of the way but almost crash into the ship. I screech. Everybody on the ship screams as they duck. I flap my wings just in time to avoid the ship. I turn to face Uma again and send a fireball straight for her head but she ducks underwater. When she comes out of the water she sends a big wave that hits the side of the ship. The ship rocks dangerously and everybody screams as they are flung to the sides. I screech at her. Then I hear somebody roar, but I can't take my eyes off of Uma. She won't let me, no matter how hard I try to check if my friends are okay. My other side just has total control over me. I snarl at Uma as I start to fly closer. Then a head pops out of the water. It's Ben. "Kara! Hold on!" he says as he looks at me. And it's like the sight of Ben is just all I need. I take back control over my body and fly a bit lower to be closer to Ben.

"Stop! Back down!" he yells as he looks at Uma. She laughs. "What are you gonna do, Ben? Splash me?" she says mockingly as she laughs again. "That's enough. It's got to stop. This isn't the answer." he says and then he turns to me. "The fighting has got to stop." he says as he looks into my eyes. I look into him and I hope he can see that I didn't want to fight Uma in the first place. That I didn't know what happened. That monster that just came out wasn't me. "Nobody wins this way. We have to listen and respect each other." Ben says as he looks between me and Uma. I look at Uma and will all my feelings into my eyes, seeing as I can't speak. I hope she can see that I didn't mean any of it. "It won't be easy. But let's be brave enough to try. Uma, I know you want what is best for the Isle. Help me make a difference" Ben says and he extends his hand. Uma looks up from Ben to me. She looks into my eyes and I can see her face soften. She raises the corners of her lips slightly and at that moment I know we understand each other. I know that she knows what it is like to lose herself in something she doesn't actually want, just like what just happened to me. She lowers herself into the water and swims a bit backward. Then she looks back at Ben and one of her tentacles slowly rises out of the water. The end of her tentacle is curled around something I can't see. The tentacle moves towards Ben's hand and at that moment I don't feel threatened by her. I know Uma doesn't want to fight and I know she knows that I couldn't control what I just did. The tentacle drops Ben's ring into his hand and then it retreats. Uma and I make eye contact and she lets out a sad sigh. I know she isn't going back with us to land. I give her a slight nod and she turns around and lowers herself into the water. I look at the place where she was just moments before. I hope to one day see her again and then maybe she can help me take better care of the Isle. 

I look down and see that Ben is climbing onto the boat. Once he gets back onto the boat everybody starts to cheer for him. I fly up and move to one side of the deck. To the one where the stained glass portrait of Ben and me stands. Right so now I need to turn back into a human. I have no idea how I knew that chant to turn into a dragon, so how am I gonna turn back into a human? I close my eyes. A human is all I want to be. Turn my body into thee. I feel black smoke beginning to form around me. I lower my body towards the boat and land on top of the stairs in front of the stained glass portrait. Black smoke fully engulfs me now and then it slowly starts to disappear. I see my hands and I let out a sigh. I smell fire and I look down and see that there are a few burning spots on my dress. I quickly slap them out before my dress is set on fire. I see that the dress I am wearing now is a green ball gown. Just like the one from the stained glass portrait. I also feel my hair on my shoulders and know it is no longer sitting in a braid. So now I can turn into a dragon and I am a magical dressmaker, good to know.
