Nathan and Haley made a pit stop before he took her home. Parking his truck in the lot he unbuckled his seat belt. Haley went to unbuckle hers as well, "Wait in the car Hales, I'll be right back." Nathan said with a smile as he hopped out of the car.

For the next few minutes Haley surfed the different radio channels, changing Nathan's default station from ESPN to Country music.

Turning "Buy Dirt" by Jordan Davis on top volume, Nathan hopped back into the truck.

"Oh God. Haley Bob, I hate country music!" Nathan exclaimed looking at Haley as if she was crazy for putting the song on. Haley rolled her eyes at his antics, "Okay Eugene we both know you're a sucker for country, stop being so dramatic and show me what you got." Nathan scoffed but nevertheless handed Haley a waffle cone piled high with coffee ice cream and jimmies, him eating his soft serve chocolate with cherries. No matter how tired either one of them were, they could never pass up on ice cream.

Haley thanked Nathan and they continued to Haley's house. Ten minutes later, Nate parked in front of the house, seeing all the lights still on. "Dad and Cart must still be up." Haley provided. "I better go inside, thanks for a fun night Nate." With a quick side hug and a kiss on the cheek she left, walking towards her front door. He rolled down the window, "See ya tommorow!" Waving as she opened the door, Haley made it home and Nathan drove away.

On his way home he thought about how his life was beginning to change. He was never invited to parties before, a girl had asked him to dance, and he didn't have to deal with Lucas tonight. He was starting to get noticed, he just hoped that his relationship with Haley would stay the same.
