Haley was walking past the lockers into the tutor center. She's always the first one to arrive, except for today. She walks into the room and finds Lucas Scott sitting down at the front table, with two coffees and two danishes in front of him.
With a timid smile Lucas says, "Hey Haley." Haley looks at him for a minute, confused, then he smiles at her and shakes his head towards the coffee. "Not that I'm mad that you're here, but what are you doing here? And what's this?"
"Well I just wanted to come by and say hi, and I figured that since you come in so early that you don't have time for breakfast." Lucas says in a soft voice.
Haley sits in the chair next to Lucas. "Well Danish is one of my favorites." She takes a sip of the coffee, "And you got the coffee perfect, thank you Lucas." Lucas splits the Danish in half, putting one in front of Haley and taking a huge bite out of the other. "I just made the coffee the same way I drink it, not too sweet but lighter than straight coffee."
They sit in an awkward silence for a few minutes. "You're going to be going to the game this week, right?" Lucas inquired. Haley nods, "Yeah, it's Nathan's first game, I have to be there to support." Lucas stays quiet but silently his mouth forms an "O" shape.
"That's right, of course." The bell rings, indicating there is five minutes until the first class starts, "Well I better get going, don't want to make you late. Hopefully I'll see you at the game Haley." Lucas smiles at her and lightly touches her shoulder before grabbing his coffee and walking out of the tutor center.
