The Ravens played amazingly well throughout the entire game. The final score being 62 to 50. Obviously the Ravens won. Everyone was impressed with Nathan's skills as the new point guard.

The cheers could be heard down outside of the school, down the block, as everyone yelled, cheered and screamed for the team.

The guys all jumped up and down, so excited that they won. Nathan seemed to be so happy and Haley was delighted by how well he was fitting in with the guys.

Haley, Karen, Keith and Haley's brother, Matt were all waiting outside the gym for Nathan. Keith and Matt were in deep conversation about the game, as they always were after seeing a game.

"He should be coming out soon." Haley said because of the look on Karen's face. Everyone was waiting for Dan and Nathan to have an interaction, but Karen was extremely anxious for that to happen. Just as Haley said this, Nathan walked out of the gym with his teammate Jake and quickly said goodbye, as Jake always had to leave a game or practice early.

As Nathan was walking towards Haley, somebody jumped out from behind her to give her a hug. Haley turned around a bit spooked. It was Lucas.

"Aren't you super excited the team won?" Lucas inquired. He smiled as he tried to put his arms around Haley. "Yeah I'm super happy about it, it was great that Nathan scored the last basket. As Haley said this Lucas smile dropped but he quickly recovered and put his arm around her shoulder responding with, "He was okay but we all know I played a great game." This comment was the reason that Keith and Karen noticed Lucas, as the duo was in conversation with Matt before this time.

The arm around Haley was quickly removed by her. "I believe that everybody on the team played their hardest and the game ended up in our favor because of this." Haley raised her eyebrow at Lucas and he was sort of flabbergasted by her semi-denial of his skills.

A couple feet away Nathan was watching this interaction, he didn't want to get involved but also didn't want to see Haley talking to Lucas, so he did the first thing he thought of and walked away to the car. Keith saw Nathan walk away and followed after him, Karen fast behind him.

Lucas kept talking to Haley for a couple minutes but finally Haley spoke up, "Luke it was nice to talk to you but I really should be going." Lucas shook his head in understanding, but didn't want her to go. "Okay, I guess I'll see you on Monday?" Haley nodded and gave him a small pat on the shoulder before heading to the car where her brother was waiting, Nathan had already left for the cafe.

Lucas waited until the James siblings were gone and then proceeded to his car, where his father stood. "I thought I told you that I didn't want you affiliating with that girl, she's too close to those people." Dan stated. Lucas knew who "those people were", Dan Scott never referred to his other son and his mother in front of Lucas, the only time Lucas heard about them was when his parents were arguing over the situation. But then again that didn't happen a lot anymore because his mother was never around.

"Don't worry Dad, I'm just talking with her to mess with him." Lucas assured his father, but at this point he didn't know if it was just a joke anymore. The two Scotts got into the car and on their way back to the house drove by Karen's Cafe. As Lucas looked through the window he saw Nathan and Haley laughing and making jokes with each other, wondering why he wasn't able to get that reaction from her.
