"I swear to God Mina, I'm going to kill you." I said in a deadly tone. She smiled a cheeky smile, "Aw c'mon I only took you to 5 other shops, you should be great full!" She countered.
"You're impossible, you know that?" I said as we sat at a Café with dozens of bags. Mina and I went out shopping today. We were set to go with the other girls but they canceled last minute.
So instead of going dress shopping for the Banquet like we were supposed to, we went normal shopping and with Mina that takes all day. "Can you believe Kiri asked me to the Banquet!?" She gushed.
A few days prior Kiri had asked Mina to be his date to the Banquet and it was adorable. He bought her pink roses and asked her to be his date under the stars.
Apparently they had gone out for a late night walk when they stopped by a park bench and she asked what such a pretty bouquet of flowers was doing there.
She then noticed the sign beside them and they were for her. He asked her to be his date and she accepted great fully. "It was adorable babes! He was blushing like crazy but I'm sure I was too and he asked me to be his date! It was like a dream!" She gushed.
I chuckled at her enthusiasm as I drank my strawberry refresher. "Did you hear that Todoroki asked Momo to be his date!?" She asked me. My eyes widened and I almost chocked on my drink.
"No way! Really!?" I asked in happiness. She nodded her head eagerly, "He asked her to be his date while they were training the other day!" She said chewing on her blueberry tart.
I smiled as she swallowed quickly to add to her rant. "This Banquet is going to be so fun!" She gushed a few crumbs falling off her pink cheeks. "All our friends' crushes asked them out, can you believe that!?" She said as she drank her iced tea.
I sighed as I looked off to the side, leaning my face on my hand. All the girls in our class had dates to the Banquet. I was the only one that hadn't been asked out.
Mina noticed my solemn face and spoke up, "Hey babes, you okay?" She asked softly. I pursed my lips, "I just-" I cut myself off. "I'm the only one who doesn't have a date." I said while I swirled my drink around while holding it.
Mina frowned, "Bakugo hasn't asked you out?" She asked. I shook my head, "Why would he? We're just friends." I lied. We weren't just friends. In my eyes that is. Maybe we were and I was just too hopeful.
A pang of hurt struck my heart. I didn't just have a silly little crush on him. It was way more. I loved him and I knew it. I want to confess but I could ruin our whole friendship if the feelings aren't requited.
"Maybe he just hasn't had the chance yet?" She said but it sounded more of a question. I sighed as I slumped into the bench seat, I was sitting on.
I rubbed my tired eyes, I hadn't been getting much sleep lately. My nightmares had ceased but I had been working through the night to get the Banquet ready.
There had been many complications with the things I had ordered so I had to check through everything and send the inadequate ones back. "I don't know Mina." I said into my hands.
I looked up, "Maybe he just doesn't like me like that." I shrugged as if it wasn't a big deal. It was. Mina furrowed her brows, "What are you talking about? Ofcourse he likes you! We've been over this babes." She said as she frowned at me.
I sighed. I think it was time to tell her how I really felt about him. "Mina I- I really like him." I told her. She frowned, "I know you do babes." She said supportively. I shook my head, "No you don't understand." I shook my head.
I leaned forward resting my elbows on the table, "I love him Meens. Its not a little school girl crush anymore. Like I love love him. I fell in love with him." I informed her.
