"Emma, calm down!" I said holding her back, before she hurt the poor girl, trying to get answers
"Harley! Let me go! She knows something and I want to find out! So tell me now! Is this another plantation? Or maybe they're the ones called the poachers who-" Emma was cut off by the girl
"I knew it! You're not like the other kids. You know about the plantations. About them...! This isn't one of the plantations. This is a secret garden... A private property owned by an aristocrat named lord bayon. You two, me and all the other kids are kept here and are still alive all because they want to hunt us. The farms don't know this place exists. It's a hidden playground for lord bayon and his friends to release their primal urges." the girl explained
"All the other kids, you say?" emma asked
"They're all just innocent newbies. Once a month they replace all those who have been eaten." the girl explained
"Replace... With whom?" emma asked
"Farm kids, mostly. They have some special privelege and use it to ship living cattle... The kids who were shipped here, mostly if not all don't know anything at all. They think they were fortunate to be born in a happy little orphanage, that they were chosen to be adopted in a good house... And then some sort of monster kidnapped them, and now keeps coming to terrorize them. That's basically how they see it." the girl said
"That sounds nice but can we continue talking inside, we've been running for a couple of days without rest and we're very tired and don't want to be prey to some intelligent demons." I said with an akward smile
"You're right, let hurry up and go find a place to hide. I want you two to meet someone." the girl said then a scream can be heard
Emma quickly got out of my arm lock, grabbed my hand then made me follow her to where the scream came from
I sighed and said "Here we go again, damnit!"
As we entered the forest, we saw a kid up ahead holding an axe, emma grabbed the axe from the kid as we saw a group of demons surrounding 2 kids
Emma let go of my hand and then threw the axe to the demon aiming for the eye and shouted out run
I shouted to emma "Em! Go, I'll hold them off!"
I drew my sword from it's sheath and said "Alright, you masked fuckers. Who wants a piece of me?"
