The Fall- Robby Keene

after school, Moon and I were walking to my car. we had at least 3 pop quizzes today which was outrageous in my opinion, but I was taken out of that thought by Moon speaking.

Moon- so have you spoken to Robby since the weekend? 

she had this excitement tone in her voice, I couldn't help but chuckle as I opened the driver side door.

Julia- no I haven't, besides I was too busy explaining to my mami that I didn't need *cuts off*

i was cut off by my phone dinging, I grabbed it from my pocket and saw a text from 'Robby <3'. Moon ran to my side as she looked over my shoulder to read it. the text read 'hey, I accidentally ordered too much pizza and I really can't eat it by myself. so, if you want, you can come by, so I don't have to.' I sent a quick 'okay, i'll be there in 15' as Moon shrieked like a girl who just won her first stuffy at a fair as I looked at her.

Moon- OMG! it's your first date!!! that's so exciting!!

Julia- calm down, that's not what it is. it's just a hang out

Moon- mhm that's what we all say!

I shook my head as I got into my car, she ran to her side before getting in. we threw our bags in the backseats, then I started to drive. I dropped her off at home before I headed over to Robby's, I got there and knocked on his door in which he answered almost immediately answer and let me in.

Robby- don't mind the mess, I get too lazy to do it myself.

Julia- it's fine, I have seen way worse if I'm honest

he gave me a warm smile before he grabbed two paper plates, he handed one to me and we both grab ourselves a slice and then walked over to his couch so we could eat. 

Robby- alright, so tell me the reason why you really came to Encino? out of every place, you came here

Julia- um my mom got a great job here as a nurse. that's really all

Robby- okay so your mom is here, what about your dad?

Julia- *sighs* well with him, I never met him. well at least I don't remember meeting him anyways, my Mami left him after my brother was born.

 he seemed to listen to everything I had to say, he took a sip from his drink before placing it down again.

Julia- alright so tell me about you than, you seem so closed off.

Robby- well what do you want to know?

Julia- anything you're willing to tell me

Robby- well my dad is not in my life as he is too busy drinking to be. my mom is far too busy being with random guys to be home so I'm pretty much living here alone. uh I'm what you can call a 'troublemaker' which is why I'm with Trey and Cruise since I need money to pay rent and stuff. which is why I steal; you know to pay for things.

Julia- and? I already know all this, besides the first part. I want to know about you, Robby not the things you do.

he looked at me as he put down his plate before turning his body towards me

Robby- alright fine. uh I like to skateboard

Julia- wow totally didn't know that 

Robby- *chuckles* let's see than, um I like music mainly rock not boring old classical music.

Julia- *laughs* well that's at least something, what about Trey and Cruise? how'd you meet them? they seem too old for you.

Robby- I was in need of money, so I asked one of these guys at school who had his own dealer. he was the one who hooked me up with those two and now I'm pretty much stuck with them.

I nodded as I placed my plate down before turning to face him so that way, I wasn't looking away from him while he was trying to talk.

Julia- so why have you all of a sudden went cold turkey on them? I mean when they stopped you the day you were showing me around you seemed to dismiss them

Robby- I just didn't want to leave you alone in a town you didn't know is all, and I wasn't going to leave you with them.

Julia- alright than I can understand that. keep going though, tell me more about you this time. no one else.

Robby- okay well, I like cars. old style and new style cars are pretty sick

Julia- that's awesome, what else?

Robby- well uh even though this is embarrassing but my guilty pleasure movie is uh dirty dancing

I looked at him slightly shocked as I tried to bite back a laugh but couldn't. I started to laugh as he groaned shaking his head. I put my hand on my mouth as a way to stop myself from laughing.

Julia- I'm sorry, I just wasn't expecting that. it's a great movie!

Robby- alright alright, you just backed me into a corner to tell you about me so now it's your turn. go.

Julia- well back in riverside, which is where I used to live. I used to play softball, basketball, I tried swim one year but something about being in the water when it was cold wasn't my thing, same with cheer but everyone there just seemed I guess too full of themselves, so I quit after a week, and I'm thinking of joining my schools track team this spring.

Robby- alright, Ms. overachiever and let me guess you get straight A's too

Julia- nope. I like being a B+ student actually

we both started to laugh, it was an odd conversation to have but I got to learn a little more about him so I'm okay with this. we both slowly stopped laughing as I got up with my cup an both our plates while he had his cup. we went to the kitchen, and I threw out the plates before we both put our cups in the sink.

Julia- so when is your mom coming back?

Robby- well she is usually out with a guy so not till late, why do you need to be home?

Julia- nope, actually my Mami is at work till late and my Yaya is with my brother so I can stay here as long as you want me to 

I turned my head to look up at him but right as I did that, he connected his lips with mine. we both pulled back and looked at each other, both clearly in shock before he put his hand on my cheek with his fingers between my ear and pulled me in for yet another kiss in which I kissed back. he pulled back slowly as I put my hand on his wrist still looking at him.

Julia- I hate to admit it, but that was my first kiss.

Robby- I was your first kiss?

Julia- I just said that

Robby- technically you said "that was my first kiss" not that I was your first kiss

Julia- you were my first kiss, Robby. happy?

Robby- yeah, I am

he moved away from me fully before he walked back over to the couch leaving me in the kitchen. I walked after him as he was laying on the couch so I did what anyone would do in this situation, and I pushed his feet off the couch and sat back in my spot as he moved his legs on top of mine. he turned his head to look at me with a smirk which I couldn't help but smile back, he sat up and moved his legs off me so now he was sitting right next to me facing me. we both were still smiling as we slowly started to lean in again, but the door swung open causing him to whip his head back to look, and me to back up. there was this woman stumbling inside practically sucking this guy's face off as she did, she didn't really even say anything to Robby as they started stumbling into this hallway till, I heard a door closed and Robby turned to look at me with a worried look.

Robby- I'm sorry, you really shouldn't have seen that. I'm really sorry

Julia- Robby, it's okay. I promise, it's alright. I'm taking that was your mom?

Robby- yup, in all her glory.
