letting you go

I felt like I was doing everything on repeat, I would go to school, visit Miguel and work on the weekends. I have been trying to help my mom as much as I can since Miguel has surgery on Friday and I know that's going to put us in debt. I don't answer my phone as much anymore, I feel like I can't talk to anyone because the only person I want to talk to isn't here. I sat in the chair drinking my coffee since Miguel was getting his vitals done, once the nurse finished up, she had walked out. right as she did, I felt a familiar 'hey' making me look towards the door and see Sam. I looked at Miguel who seemed a little happy to see her, I took this chance to stand up and start walking to the door.

Miguel- where you going?

Julia- I'm going to let you two chat, I'm just going to run home really quick. don't worry

he nodded as I walked out of the room, I started heading to my car. I got in my car and drove myself home, and the second I got there I showered and changed just so I wasn't in the same clothes as yesterday which seems to be a habit for me. As I was driving myself back to the hospital, I got a text from Moon stating they were having a car wash fundraiser to help pay for Miguel's surgery and she really wanted me there. I smiled at how caring she was and drove to the hospital. after talking to Miguel, he told me to go and hang out with my friends. I left out the part of the fundraiser as I'm sure they wanted it to be a surprise.

*skipping to the next day*

I drove myself over to the car wash as i saw Sam and Moon all there along with a bunch of other people, I got out of my car and walked over to Moon who was washing a car. the second she saw me, she let out a happy scream before hugging me.

Moon- I'm so happy to see you! you look amazing!

Julia- thank you, you don't look bad yourself!

she smiled at me as she pulled away, she handed me a sponge as I laughed and started cleaning up the car. As I did this, Sam had walked over to me and tapped my shoulder. I looked at her as she hugged me, I let out a chuckle as she did so before we both pulled away.

Sam- it's really great to see you

Julia- yeah, it's nice to be out and about instead of cooped up. plus, Miguel was the one who told me I should go out and do stuff an to stop bugging him.

Sam laughed as did I, it's nice to see her laughing instead of crying. I knew this was tough on her as well.

Julia- oh, thanks for visiting Miguel, yesterday. I'm sure he really appreciated it, and he will love all of this.

Sam- just trying to be as helpful as possible, now get to scrubbing lady!

I laughed and continued to help clean, along the way Moon ended up spraying me with a hose which resulted in my dumping the water bucket on her head. we both were laughing extremely hard at this, and I knew it was the right choice to come. After an hour or two, I had decided to call it. I hugged Sam and Moon goodbye before heading to my car. As I was about to get in, my phone rang, and I saw it was a call from Daniel. confused I answered it.

Julia- uh what's up? I'm kind of driving at the moment.

Daniel- um I need you to meet me at the auto shop, it's urgent.

Julia- um alright, I'll be right there but I just need to change first.

I hung up after saying that and got in my car. I drove myself home and changed into dry clothes before I drove myself to the auto shop. I walked inside the shop and went to the back where Daniel's office was, I knocked lightly on the open door as they both looked at me. I walked in more as Amanda hugged me, it was odd, but I accepted it anyways. she pulled away and stood by Daniel, just by the way they are looking at me this won't be any good.
